    I do my part by riding a bicycle or walking 95% of the time and leaving my car in the garage. It's amazing how many cars and especially SUV's I notice are on the road when I'm not driving. So, I'm not surprised to see gas prices so high.

    Progressive kicks ass. I pay about $240 for six months (liability only). But I'm also 27 and haven't gotten a ticket in about 5 years. The best part is that I do everything online, talking on the phone to insurance salespeople annoys me. Almost as much as much as mall jewlery store employees.

    Go to your local library and look up the municipal code that you were cited for violating, and get a copy of the officer's affidavit (sworn statement) from the courthouse. You should be able to find a 'crack in the case' and introduce enough doubt in the Judge's mind to get it thrown out or...

    I dont think a 90/10 weight distribution with 600 ftlb torque would be any fun to drive. The rattling and stinking sooty exhaust would be awesome though.

    I did that for a while and didn't get caught, but I wouldn't recommend it. People told me that if the law enforcement suspected you of having a "street racer" car then they would inspect your car for any illegal modifications. If any were found you would be penalized and put on a special smog...

    FAST stuff doesnt have a CARB # on it, the smog nazi's will fail you for it, along with any other aftermarket stuff without one.

    I had to replace one of my quarter windows when my car got broken into last year, and it wasn't fun. Pretty much the whole rear interior had to come out to get at them. And be careful taking them out they're worth alot of money!

    Which harmonic balancer?

    I have a Summit SFI one, but the ring moves around the hub (over time) so its impossible to get an accurate ignition timing. So the bonding is pretty crappy. Unless this is normal, I dont know.

    You should have it magnafluxed/xrayed for cracks that may need to be welded shut before resurfacing.

    I pulled the dash away from the firewall just enough to squeeze the cores in/out. Still a major pain though.

    I took it apart and the brushes/wiring/bearings were ok, looks like the regulator is bad. So hopefully its not a total loss if I can get it fixed.

    I bought a Powermaster from Summit, only lasted about 2 years. I probly put 10K miles on my car while that thing worked. Alternators are overrated anyways, unless you have a 4x4 with 30 Hella off road lights on it.
