    i run the mallory 682 i think. it is the equivalent to the MSD 6 digital. with the Mallory box, you can buy an optional doohickey to attach to it for boost reference.

    Which oil pump

    i used www.precisionoilpumps.com i think it cost me around 80 for the race pump and his billet shaft. depending on what oil pan you use, will determine the pickup.

    i just took and old stock lifter and tack welded it around the plunger. somewhere there are articles how to take apart the lifter and mess with the plunger.

    are you using a solid lifter when checking for length? other wise if you are using a stock hydro lifter, it is getting plunged down and throwing off your measurements.

    ford came out with two backing plates, and two different timing cover water inlet/outlets. why, i don't know. maybe it was cause of reverse and standard rotation pump or because of the truck 302/351's. this is not including the revision for oil dipstick or fuel pump boss.

    it is advised not to do that. the shroud is there for a reason, to scavenge the air from the radiator and funnel it to the fan. resulting in a more optimum cooling effect. if it is the factory fan clutch setup, then when was the last time your motor mounts were changed?

    HELP!!! Stang won't start.

    sounds like it might be the TFI modual on the dizzy overheating. check for spark going into the distributor(coil wire), and spark coming out of the distributor. basically you are looking to see if spark is going through the dizzy.
