I haven't been real active on the forums as of late... Been working a lot... been putting some LONG awaited plans together.
Here are some pics.. just to give you a taste of whats in the works.. a "Progress Thread" will prolly be seen in a month or so :D
I gotta put this first.. sense...
Everyone is talking about lossing weight... and I keep packing the lbs on my car...
mexican block, sub frames, forged internals.. the blower... ugh im a heavy pig :(
So umm... what did having a pool have to do with any of this ???
You know.. i was hoping for a story about stupid blondes that cant correctly fasten their tops.... resulting in several flashing moments... but then I was like.. uhh.. it was his GRANDMAS house.. then bad images started...
I have had zero problems with my BBK EQUAL length shorties... i find its even easier to get to the spark plugs
the only thing i WILL tell anyone... DO NOT.. for the love of god.. use the gaskets that come with the BBK headers... they SUCK.. and you WILL blow them out. and they WILL...
While I agree with SOME of what u said... there are much more to a custom cam than what you say.
You have to take into account that while the specs may be similar...
a custom cam will have a much stronger core (higher quality) that wont break, wobble, etc... like the OTS cams.
and ALSO...
Like said.. you DONT need the trick flow intake to make it work.
However, I would suggest NOT using the stock intake.. as its restriction would not allow you to utilize the heads to real potential.
Of the foxbody coupe painted flat black.. def mad-max style with the engine stick'n out of the hood doing a burn out...
I know someone knows what im talking about.
simplicity will lead to easier repairs.
try a 65... carbed 289.. no extra crap to worry bout (fuel injection, ac, etc)
however... simplicity is usually found in the older cars... which.. with the catch 22... have had the longest time to develope problems.. so have fun.
