    Broken off bolt

Get a torch and heat the sucker up. I would use a mapp torch if it is an iron manifold or if it's aluminum you might be able to use propane. Aluminum conducts heat really well so it wouldn't take long. Aluminum also doesn't glow redhot the way steel does. For aluminum I would heat for 10-20...

Fox Body Alternator on a Classic?

There is a TSB on it and that in and of itself tells me that it has to be a real problem. Ford doesn't issue a TSB unless they absolutely have to. It has to do with the wiring overheating. Like I said I just wouldn't bother since the 3gs (from the taurus) are so plentiful.

Fox Body Alternator on a Classic?

It's an upgrade with regard to amp output. I wouldn't go with a 2g on my car because of the fire hazzard issues. I would step up the 3g just to be on the safe side. http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=75

    granada swap tie rods

I have done this on my 68. Use the 68 inner and adjustment sleaves. You will need the granada outers. No trimming is necessary.

They won't fit. Get the 351 swap headers for early mustangs.

Value of keeping '66 CA C code original

It's my understanding that the harnesses are not DOT approved thereby making them illegal on the street. If a manufacture is willing to pay the fees to get them DOT approved then they would be ok. That is what my old neighbor told me when I asked him why he kept the original belts in...

Value of keeping '66 CA C code original

I would check the legislation on the 4 point seat belts. I have heard that certain types of safety restraints are illegal on the street. I am not sure if it was just rumor or locale specific thing but I wouldn't want your son to get in trouble over that. Either way you should be able to at...

Value of keeping '66 CA C code original

It really depends on what you are planning on doing with the car. A c code coupe is not worth the time and money to go concours so I wouldn't bother with that. As far as changes go, any restomod change made that can be easily reversed (nut and bolt) won't affect the "original" value as...

Rear Main Seal - changing it w/ engine in car - Advice Please?!?

I didn't notice if you indicated whether you used sealant on the flywheel to crank bolts. I had oil coming from there because I forgot the sealant on the threads. Just something else to think about. Good luck RV

    bronco rearend

    Yep I forgot about that. It's 5 on 5 or 5 on 5.5 I don't recall which.

    bronco rearend

The 70 bronco rear is 53 3/8 wide from outside of the flange to the outside of the flange so it is between the the 65-66 and 67-70 length wise. You will need to weld on new spring perches which might be a problem because on the 71-73 stangs the perches are actually wider than than the 65-70 (43...

Turbo fabrication is a GO !!

I am looking at buying a tig machine within the next few weeks? What machine are you using? I have been trying to research this but I have never tigged before so I don't really know what to look for. It must be capable of doing aluminum so that mandates ac/dc but other than that I am open to...

I've officially decided to go turbo on my 68

How much power do you really think you need in a vert???? I guess if you have then money you can build a 600,700,800,900, or 1000 hp vert. What are you planning on doing with that much power? It just seems to me that you are thinking too much about a number and not the application of the number.

I've officially decided to go turbo on my 68

Check out turbomustangs.com and look for a guy named ben sinclair who goes by tom servo or something like that. He is fabbing up headers for a cleveland in a 69 coupe.

I've officially decided to go turbo on my 68

There are lots of guys running turbos on stroked 351's using stock block that are well beyond 500 rwhp. The 302 is on borrowed time at that level.

I've officially decided to go turbo on my 68

I once had a friend who said to me "you will never be able to know what is enough without finding out what's too much......." He said that while hugging the toilet after a rough night at the bar. I really do think that's there is a valuable lesson to learn with cars also. We build these...

EFI: Super Victor and throttle body

One of the problems with them is the fuel rails are unavailable at this time. At least that is what I had found with regard to a 351w.

    EFI fule pump question?

If that is pre-filter then it is fine as is. Every inline pump I have used required a prefilter otherwise they won't warranty them. If it is a 10 micron or less filter then it would definately contribute to the problem of feeding the pump.

    EFI fule pump question?

I think you would be better off if you changed the location of that pump. Efi pumps are good at pushing not sucking. Since your pump is mounted quite a bit higher than the pickup location it is going to have to work really hard to get fuel. Couple that with a quarter of tank of fuel and you...
