What did you do to your classic Mustang today?

Welded in the replacement battery apron, made some patches, and fixed the half-azzed holes to PO put in the radiator support for an AC system that didn't work. Also re-aligned the doors. All on the wife's coupe of course...haven't touched mine in a while:cry:

    Front drum & hub

They look just like the set I have. Knock/press out the bolts first, then put a piece of 2x4 over the snout of the hub and smack the s*%t out of it. I took a quite a few hits the first time I did it. If you don't care about the drums (mine were shot) hit the drum, it'll break apart. Just be...

    302HO with gt40p heads

I had a similar problem when I built my first engine for my 66. I was running Windsor Jr iron heads. The ports where raised slightly and the plug angle was different than stock. I had to modify the #5 cylinder tube on the tri-y header to clear the plug. If the P's are similar the same could be...

    302HO with gt40p heads

I have a question...do they make headers to put "P" heads in a 65? My understanding is the spark plug was relocated on the P heads and normal headers won't fit without interference with the plugs???? If not, I'm putting my P heads on my wife's 302 for her 66:nice:

    2007 rims on a 66 coupe

You'll need 1.5" or maybe 1.25" (depends on the upper control arm) bolt on spacers to run any wheels from an 05 or newer Stang on a 66. I had a set of 05 premium Gt wheels on my 66 for a few months with 225/45's up front and 245/45's out back, with 1.25" spacers up front and 1.5" out back...

    What welder?

I have a craftsmen mig welder (110 volt) that I've been using for ten years now without issue. It's essentially a Lincoln welder reboxed.

    1972 mustang headers

Not sure about fit but I have a set (ceramic coated) that I bought and was told they'd fit my old 67...they didn't...if you're interested.

    Lower control arm question

Isn't 22 the one with potholes that'll swallow a semi truck??? Been there. Didn't realize you were that close, we'll have to get together at some shows this spring.

    Lower control arm question

If you've ever driven on NJ roads, replacement can be every year....

    Lower control arm question

It wasn't really a problem. I just bought them because they were $ 15 for the pair and another $ 30 for the Moog uppers. Everything was new and I needed to rebuild the front end on my 65 Falcon. The parts are already on the car, have been since July, without issue. I'm just trying to figure out...

    Lower control arm question

if the ball joint goes bad I can just press in a new one without having to swap the entire lower arm. The arm is about 1 and a half times thicker any of the repops I've seen.

What did you do to your classic Mustang today?

Nothing to the Mustangs, but I did the body work and epoxy primed the drivers side fender of the 65 Falcon that was run into last weekend while Christmas shopping.... Whoever hit it didn't bother to leave a note or number:mad: So much for the Christmas spirit!!! I'm actually not as upset as I...

    Interior color schemes

That's how I ordered the kit from M U. But that's what they listed as standard. The original color was blue but that wouldn't go well with british racing green so I changed it ;)

Debating '05 GT vs. Cobra brake upgrade

The new SN197 GT calipers are a two piston design (plastic by the way) that are much different than the SN95's. I think that's what is meant by "new GT".

Debating '05 GT vs. Cobra brake upgrade

Haven't really messed around with brake pads. Both Mustangs are running high metallic stock replacements. I am running stock pads on the 05 setup on my 65 Falcon. She stops well but not quite as much bite from high speed as the metallics. Both mustangs are running rear discs (homemade...
