How are the winter projects coming?

Just kidding with the gas prices comment. Definitely a cool swap. Received my Autometer electric boost gauge with MAP sensor today. Cobalt series to match the rest of my gauges. Hefty little price tag on the bugger but thats the one I wanted. Next up is the air / fuel gauge.

87LX, thats a cool swap. You can tell everyone that gas prices were getting to you, so you swapped out your 8 for a 6... just dont tell em its supercharged.

How are the winter projects coming?

Thats awesome. Definitely want to follow your progress on this one. Is there going to be interference on the front accesories / radiator / fan? What are you using for engine management? Viper stuff or something standalone?

How are the winter projects coming?

That, sir, is one sick @SS motor swap. I like that a lot more than LS swaps! Though I gotta know, how'd you come across a viper motor??? Makes the rest of our projects seem a little mundane. :nice:

How are the winter projects coming?

Theyre a good idea to keep in most cars, especially when we start modifying things. My cometic head gaskets showed up yesterday so now Im on to the B list of parts. These include but probably arent limited to : Autometer Cobalt boost and air - fuel gauges, the clock mount gauge pod...

How are the winter projects coming?

Hopefully a new fire extinguisher to go along with the replacement parts! What was the cause for the fire? At least it wasnt a total loss. On a seperate note, received my ARP studs today. Going to order the Cometic gaskets tonight or tomorrow and then the last of the major items are in hand...

GT40p swap, E7 springs and rockers?

Though Hollywoods advice probably isnt what you were looking for, its actually very sound advice. I know youre probably anxious to get the new stuff on like everyone gets with new parts, but it'd be much easier to change it over with the heads off instead of trying to change valve springs with...

    t5 bellhousing question

Some people say you do (I personally think its a good idea) some say you dont. There are a few people on here that are running a Fox T5 in their SN without a spacer and have reported no problems, so.... Though the SN95 spec trannys are a little harder to find, they are rated for a little more...

How are the winter projects coming?

Just ordered the ARP head studs, then the last major item on my list I need to purchase is the Cometic head gaskets. Steep price at 180 for a set but you gotta pay to play I suppose. Theyre probably not even necessary at the boost levels Ill be operating at but Id rather not use a Felpro and...

How are the winter projects coming?

Ordered the adjustable fuel regulator tonight so thats one of the last mechanical items I need for the project. Also ordered some Mach 460 tweeters to cover the holes at the top of my new door panels. Always hated the gaping hole up there after I did the black interior swap. Also may be buying a...

How are the winter projects coming?

Man, I feel like I'm the only one getting stuff done!! Anyway, ordered the MSD harness so I can wire up the ignition all nice like with plug and play connections. Also ordered the PMAS MAF from the classifieds, brand new for 200 shipped so I'm pretty happy with that. Luckily for me...

How are the winter projects coming?

Picked up the MSD ignition through my work today, so one more thing off the list. Jet Hots higher than expected prices are making me hold off on that portion for the time being. 400 + just for the headers then 40 a foot for the rest of the piping. Then theres the shipping charges... Ouch. 4Jenna...

    ReCoating Exh is worth it!!

Just got my quote from Jet Hot. $410 for the headers, 150 for the turbo and 40 a foot for the rest of the hot side tubing. Price on the headers seems kinda steep. This was for the 2000 degree coating. Replied back to find out the pricing of the 1600 degree coating. Add all that up plus the cost...

    Ford 1-2-3 finish at Daytona

Yeah Im pretty sure this is the first full season theyre running the new motor. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come.

    ReCoating Exh is worth it!!

I was thinking of going to get my hot side done by Jet Hot with their *2000 ceramic coating. What temp coating was your original jet hot coating? Is the 2000 necessary in your experience? My setup is much more tame than yours is. Also, whats the name of the place you had yours done at? Im...

    Ford 1-2-3 finish at Daytona

I dont watch much Nascar but it's nice to see Ford capturing the 1-2-3 finish at the big race. Especially with a rookie for the win. And if you notice, all three of them started toward the back of the pack. Not too shabby.

How are the winter projects coming?

T67 turbo action. To answer the inevitable questions, yes its a no name turbo. No, that doesnt bother me (I put 600 miles a year on the car now) and yes I will likely get a better turbo before assembly. Id like a Garret or Turbonetics but I doubt thatll be in the budget anytime soon. Maybe a...

How are the winter projects coming?

Well the good pics will have to wait until tomorrow. All the cool stuff is out in the big box in my shop. The second package inside only contained the massive intercooler, wastegate, filter and tubo install odds and ends.
