gain 100 hp 95 stock conv.

This is just terrible and I hate when I hear things like this. All that money spent and youre still not happy. Heck for 12K, you could have left your low mileage car alone, bought another average sn95 5.0 for between 3 and 5K, done a Trick flow HCI for around say 3500 installed, or gotten a...

Noise & Vibration out of T5 in low speed/high torque situations

Figured I'd throw that out there. That's where my issues came from and they sounded similar. I had contact on the front part of the shifter base going toward the engine. Required a little more trimming and some prying but I made enough clearance and the noise is gone. Just something to double check.

Noise & Vibration out of T5 in low speed/high torque situations

Just out of curiosity, was the car in question previously an auto that you swapped a five speed into? I had a similar type issue in my 95 after doing the five speed swap, turned out the tranny was hitting around where I had trimmed the opening for the shifter. Only did it under certain RPMs as...

    Lost my job today...

My dealer closed after nearly 8 years but luckily I was fully certified and working at the parts store as I had a feeling things were going down hill quick. Took the management position and opened my shop on the side. I'd keep going for your certs, they'll be money makers in the end. You'll get...

Deal or no deal : 93 Mustang LX roller

Guess I shouldnt have gotten my hopes up. Turned out to be a bust.. of sorts. So I go check it out and everything looks good. No hidden issues, nice solid car. Then it comes down to business... and things are a little shady. He had me meet him in the back of some industrial park but wouldnt give...

Deal or no deal : 93 Mustang LX roller

Clean foxes certainly are a dying breed. Thats why I know I'd kick myself down the road if I didn't jump on this. Definitely got the space for it, so that's not an issue. Tomorrows the day so as long as everythings copacetic on his end, I'll be trailering to her new home at some point this weekend.

Deal or no deal : 93 Mustang LX roller

By mint body I was actually referring to the undercarriage and shock towers. Thats the most important aspect to me. Sheet metal isnt a problem, I've done body work for years. That's what I did before I got into automotive and still do it at my shop on a regular basis. Already found a hatch in...

Deal or no deal : 93 Mustang LX roller

I suppose it depends on the area. My friend paid 400 for a horrible condition notch 4 banger that was supposed to be a drag project. When he got it to my shop, the subframe was rotted and cracked, the shock towers were rotted through and the fenders were bondo and newspaper. I did another search...

Deal or no deal : 93 Mustang LX roller

Really? Ive never seen a fox roller go for under a grand. At least, not around here. And not one that isn't cancered up underneath. Price isnt set in stone, I'm going to do the final look on Friday, I could always offer something lower. In your opinion, what do you think it would be worth?

Deal or no deal : 93 Mustang LX roller

So I've come across the chance to buy a very clean 93 LX hatch. 2.3 4 banger with auto of course. The body is mint, zero rot or rust surprisingly. $650 but there is absolutley zero interior save for the steerring column (no steering wheel) and the guy wants to take the hatch as well. Ill have to...

Finished T5 swap- Car Vibrates then stalls when put into gear

I've never seen an AODE mount bracket work without being modified in any of the three swaps I've done. They all had to be notched or the mount is way off in terms of lining up. Theres a thread on here with pics of the swap where the guy who made the post shows pics of the necessary mod. It's...

Dynomax side exhaust kit is now on

Yeah, I've heard the actual SVO ones are hard to find. And a lot of the ones for sale I've seen over the years have some damage to them.

elderbrock performer or afr 165 heads

In response to post #6... Like has been said, for the relatively low price difference compared to an off the shelf cam, you might as well go custom once you figure out what you're doing in regard to supporting and additional mods to the engine.

    New clutch whines

Ive heard of people that will straight up throw away the TOB that comes supplied with the KC clutch kit. I honestly dont think Ive ever heard anything good about the bearing they use in that kit.

Finished T5 swap- Car Vibrates then stalls when put into gear

Are you reusing the AODE slip yoke on the drive shaft with the huge counter weight on it? I did a test run with my old slip yoke and it had a nasty vibration up on jackstands and a mild one during actual driving. Ordered a new T5 slip yoke and it solved that. I also agree on checking the surface...

elderbrock performer or afr 165 heads

Though it doesnt tell the entire story, if you can find each ones flow numbers and compare them, that usually gives a good idea on how the head can perform. A lot has to do with waht you pick as a supporting combo. Are you throwing in a cam and intake to compliment the heads? What size throttle...

    Garage Heating Solutions?

Having it fully insulated and sheetrocked will definitely help your cause. Is the roof insulated as well? Most of the heat will escape that way as it rises up. Most heaters will advertise what theyre capable of heating in terms of square feet. Convection heaters are by far the best for heating...

    Garage Heating Solutions?

I'm in a similar situation as you. 800 square foot garage, no insulation on the roof (where all the heat goes) and thin foam insulation on the walls (circa 1970s). Last year I bought a 110,000 BTU kero tube heater from a local person. Works great, heats the whole place up to high 70s and higher...

As for the tach, what size is it? Most common spot is mounted to the dash itself above the instrument cluster so its in plain view. But a lot of times I believe it requires putting a hole ino the dash. Can't say for sure, I've always relied on the factory tach.
