    Weighed my 68 Coupe.

Mine is ALL stock body and suspension. 95 GT 8.8, no traction bars, 351w with Aluminum heads and intake and t70 turbo and plumbing, no pwr steering or brakes, front brakes are Granada with 99-04 calipers, interior is 100% stock other than steering wheel and all stock sheet metal. There is zero...

    Drag guys! Shelby drop??

Lowering the uca is a mod for cornering not for drag racing. Rusty's car works in spite of it not because of it. Lowering the uca causes the track width to change more as the suspension extends. That causes the tire to have to slip sideways more as the front end rises. You can see this when...

    engine refreshening help

It is your money and time. Those are some durable motors. I would not assume that the motor is worn out. If there is not sludge in the engine, I would be surprise if it is not ready to go for another 100,000+ miles.

    engine refreshening help

That motor is just getting broken in. Look at the bearings and if they are OK just run it. There are guys running 10s with turbos on motors with 3x that many miles.

Got a 96 Explorer V8 should I use engine, o/d tranny and rearend

I would use it all including the 8.8, but I could do the rear end my self. It is not too hard and I would shorten the long side to match. I would buy a second short axle to center the dif. The car would run very good with that drivetrain and get good mileage.

Need c4 trans interchange swap info

You will also need an early, pre 70, converter. The 70+ you are taking out uses a larger input shaft.

I would not do a spring upgrade either. Chances are they will be wrong. Get springs that are made for the cam you buy.

    Question for nitrous guys.

Things not to do copied from NOS install instructions. Don’ts Engage your nitrous system with the engine off. Severe engine damage can occur. Modify NOS nitrous systems (if you need a non-stock item, call NOS Technical Service for assistance) Overtighten AN type fittings. Use Teflon...

    Question for nitrous guys.

I would get rid of all the teflon tape. It has a way of getting in the seal in the solenoid. The fuel side is less important, but teflon paste would be good there too. I had a N2O solenoid leak once and luckily was able to hear it before I tried to start the car. I could not find anything...

Adding Subframe Connectors - Why not lift them to reverse unibody sag?

I think the attachment at the front is the downfall of most SFC. Mine go into the front frame rails. All the SFC on the market I have seen connect to the floor supports which seem to be the same metal the floor pan is made of.

Opinions wanted on a 351w build...

With the cam and intake you have listed I would go with a GOOD 185cc head, AFR or Trick Flow. If you are worried about loosing bottom end, the 20 extra cc's in the port will kill more than the .03"-.06" of the valve. Most 2 valve heads have a smaller than ideal intake valve because of real...

C4 questions RE: year and shift kits

If it has a tag this will tell you of the original application. http://mmerlinn.tripod.com/trans/fdc4f/fbec4_s0.htm The casting # is on the housing above the shift shaft. 70 is when they changed valvebodies. I would use a TransGo kit.

    351 and C4?

Are you still using a C4? I thought you had a 400. Sorry, I was replying to mrfomoco. Broader Performance is in Weatherford, TX.

    351 and C4?

I know Weatherford is not local, but they build a good C4. Up to 600hp they are not too hard to build.

    what's this bad boy worth??

Those use a sportsman block or a production block? Either way I think it is double what it should cost. You could get way better for that price. With force induction and a dart block you could make 2x the horsepower with $12000.
