    I need Speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You mention getting O2 eliminators, O2 sensors are your friend, you must have them if you're running EFI. If you have them out now or something that could be where some of your power is at. The emissons stuff wont net you much. And I wont use n2o on my new engine let alone 100+k, but that...

50 Amp Switch for Taurus Fan

I know my fan on high at startup is like 65+ amps. That's gonna be more than a little zap.

    swapping guage cluster, how hard

Doing it's easy, maybe 8 bolts. Like said above wiring must match and make sure it's out of another v8.

Can I just put this shortblock back together and then put it in my car?

You can put the pistons in any order. If they are the same pistons that came out of that block it would be best to put them back in the way they came out, but I don't think it should matter. I'm did the same thing as the guy above, new pistons and rings, honed the cyl and assembled the thing.

    Seafoam Directions

Do you mean toluene? Which happens to be found in larger quantities in gasoline.

50 Amp Switch for Taurus Fan

I'm with Daggar 100%. You do not want 50+amps running through your dash like that. Go spend $2 on 2 relays(one high, one low), hook a signal wire to the switch that switches the relays on and off and have the 50amps run through the relays.

    351W Carb'd -Vs- 302 Roller EFI ??

My guess would be that the roller 351W are the same years they made roller 302's since they're both windsor motors.

    alternator questions

Jrichker, that is what we were getting at, just left out the resistance. All in all it can be done. It's just thay don't want to. Plus it's not the volts that kill you its the amps. Even though very small amperage can kill you.

    Forged internals question

Nothing, really. Like said above don't go crazy with it.

    alternator questions

JerryD, Thank you! hlln4wls, thats what I was getting at... if the voltage were raised and it doesnt have to be much at all, the amps will go down. Like say a 24V circut, will cut the amps in half and still be relativly low voltage.

Just got the 5.0 HO 89 GT. Where to start?

While i have 5lugs and 4wheel disc I am pretty pleased with just my h/c/i/e because it's pretty much only a daily driver, track very seldom. Gears would be nice but have you seen gas prices?!

wierd sound after running good for 2 weeks

No egr, but I'll check the TPS voltage through it's range of motion even though i have no codes. And I'll check all the bolts and feel for exhaust at the head.

    Block Seal/ Steel Seal?

If you had a 59 bird why did you get rid of it? I love that car.

    alternator questions

Well if we went to a higher voltage system then you're amperage can go down and power stays the same. A*V=W with the amps lowered you wont have the heat on the wire.

wierd sound after running good for 2 weeks

I kind of did because I've never heard of an exhasut leak causing nothing more than noise. Plus besides where the header bolts to the head and where the collector joins the exhaust, there are no other spots for leaks.

    leaded fuel breaking things?

I thought diesel was a very low octane, why would you want to add a lot of octane to diesel?

wierd sound after running good for 2 weeks

After having my heads resurfaced due to bracket bolts failure and the car overheating i got the thing running well about 2 weeks ago. It has ran great ever since. Even took it on a 3 hour road trip. Ran great and even got 26mpg! Took it out for a cruise tonight and it made a weird sound...

    leaded fuel breaking things?

looked like a paint store may carry ut, i read that somewhere in there. But if avalible why not use pure octane? C8H18. But I think toluene is pretty toxic, or at least as toxic as gas is. It's Methyl Benzene CH3-C5H5. Benzene is nasty stuff. Here's a wiki on it...

    Block Seal/ Steel Seal?

I would start off telling him if he bought a car that didnt have an engine shoved in a compartment the size of a glove box the heads would be easy :) But for $8 how can you go wrong? If that doesn't work send it to a shop or do the change yourself.
