Does the problem sound like rod ends or ball joints?

    Who does their own taxes?

I haven't done mine yet but then again I normally wait until September. I have done plenty of others. I am a CPA and this is a crazy time of year to say the least.

Loose front end, help me diagnose

Hissin, thanks for the input! So do these things just wear out from sitting around? When the car rolls there isn't a bang or knock like if the bearing had a wear spot. Could the lack of return to center and front wheel play be related?

Loose front end, help me diagnose

Thanks Jim! So would those just "go" on their own? I'm surprised there's even a problem with it since the mileage is so low. What about the movement with the hands at 12 and 6? This is where there is the most play.

Loose front end, help me diagnose

My car is a 1988 with 17,800 original miles and until spring 2007 was in storage since 1992. Before putting it away I had installed polyurethane sway bar and end link bushings, Koni adjustable shocks/struts and FMS c-springs. Everything else is stock -K-member, LCAs, LCA bushings, etc and from...

Er...I said Tokico but I meant KYB.

Should I buy Koni Red shocks and struts?

I don't know how what I have compares to the Koni Reds - I have Konis, adjustable for what I **think** is compression, but they are orange. The ride is ok if you leave the adjustment at the minimum, but the more you click up from the minimum the harsher the ride is. I also have FMS C-springs...

    terminator police car

Think about all the stretch the police are getting from rolling that Cobra into a patrol car. How many people read this thread alone? Hmmm...made quite an impression and agree with it or not everyone who read this thread will think twice before putting a 12 second run down the local by-way...

    terminator police car

The problem here is that EVERYONE is assuming that the kid handed over the keys to the cops because he had to. I would bet that there was some serious lawyering going on and there was a deal made where the Cobra was handed over in exchange for "time served" and a significant reduction in any...

How old were you when you got your first stang?

My car is pickled for the winter but I'll post up some pics when I unwrap it in the spring. In 1988 my LX cost me $10,700.

How old were you when you got your first stang?

I bought my 1988 5.0 LX on March 18, 1988 when I was 18 years old. Prior to the Mustang I was driving a 2.8 v6 1995 Olds Cutlass Supreme that I crashed and rolled the insurance money into TJX stock that grew enough so I only had a $3K loan. The car was ordered from the factory and I waited...

school me on "a good set" heads, intake.Street car

What about Eddy Performer heads? I was going to match those to a Performer intake and am still mulling over the idea of switching from my stock cam/1.72 set-up while I have everything apart. I do need street manners and an idle that doesn't cause the engine to stall if I am stuck in Boston...
