    "New" Toploader

I got similar crap-ola going on with my three speed - that extra linkage on the 4 speed must make it even worse. Best of luck.

so i just watched the bullitt chase scene for the first time

OK, the Limey is back going on about Euro cars again, but follow this link to download the Ford Puma advert: http://www.fordpumaclub.it/6_download-area/filmati.asp It's an Italian site, but scroll down to the bottom of the McQueen images until you find the link: 'Scarica filmato.mov (6,5mb)'...

my car caught on fire NEED HELP FAST!

I know the wiring on my '66 all too well, yours looks similar. The big bundle of wires that are running in the body (you can see them through the cut out) are stock and feed the taillights and fuel gauge. The other ones look non-stock to me, as they don't run behind the metalwork from above...

    Newbie on StangNet! (Sweden)

Hello and welcome from a fellow European! Maybe see you at Vasteras for the Big Power Meet - when I finally get mine finished...! As far as Megasquirt goes, there is a UK magazine called Practical Performance Car, and they are always fitting Megasquirts to all sorts of engines, even I...

Alas, he did some of the riding in that, and yes you see him being chased by himself. The jump over the fence was by Bud Ekins, Steve's buddy. The barbed wire fence was made of rubber, assembled by the fellow cast members. Jeez, DVD extras make me sooooo boring. I even have The Great...

so i just watched the bullitt chase scene for the first time

There's loads of stuff on the web about Bullitt, and plenty about the supposed whereabouts of one of the original movie Mustangs. Apparently, all that crashing through Frisco hammered the Mustang's front suspension clean through the top mounts. Anyone see the Ford Puma advert about 10 years...

    The SN65 project car

I'm with 1320 - hold off if you want to, but make sure you don't forget us when it's finished. Sounds like The Ridler has got some pre-conceived ideas about SN65....

The original Gone in 60 is so bad it's good. The acting is terrible, the dialogue is lame and the production (maybe it was my crappy VHS copy) was terrible. It was a bit nostalgic for me because it's from the same era that produced the first 'adult art' films that I watched - twangy 70's...

Have an oil cooler?? Lemme see! (Historic?)

Big pipes = slower flow for a given pressure. Don't they?

Functional or Shelby-style roll bar for the DOHC '67 vert?

Why not rip out all the controls and actuators from a late model Mercedes, that has the 'pop-up' roll bar? That way you get the good looks of your 'vert, and the roll over protection if it all goes wrong. Doubt you'd pass tech inspection at the strip though...

not a mustang- but interesting stuff...

 No it's a FORD. Mondeo Turbo Diesel - it's as quick as it needs to be: 0-60 in around 10 seconds, will do way over 130mph, and will do over 500 miles between fill ups. As a daily driver, it's all I could ask for. I know you Yanks will never get the idea of diesel cars, but when your...

    Finally got pics of Stang

I wish mine was that good (or that finished...) Good work man. P.S. Shifting with the right hand isn't natural anyway...:D

You're bragging about 9mpg? :) Jeez I wish I paid as little for gas as you do...I get 50mpg from my daily driver and it still hurts when I have to fill up.:notnice:

    Car is eating starter solenoids.......

The 'other' post has voltage on it when the solenoid is closed, and is used to take a full voltage feed to the coil (rather than via the ballast resistor) so you get a nice fat spark to start the engine.

    What gauges to get?

    Mmmmmm Nexus. Bet they're pricey...
