    Picking Out Leaf Springs?

Don't get the idea that 4-leaf springs are soft. The 428 Super Cobra Jet, and even the mighty BOSS 429 NASCAR had 4-leaf springs. Sounds like you need a 4-leaf mid eye. Fine tune with the shocks. Something like the Kayaba GR-2 for GT-type stiffness, or for something firmer, the Kayaba Gas-A-Just.

    Help - Clutch Pedal Jumps

If the disc is the same diameter and thickness as the one you removed, and the old pressure plate was working well, put it back in. Put the assist spring under the dash back in, too. It's easy and safe if you know the tricks.

    What Carb On A '73 302 2v?

The 1973 302 should have a 2150, not a 2100. The main feature of the 2150 was a pull-off on the rear half of the air cleaner flange.

    Help - Clutch Pedal Jumps

Hmmm… Perhaps your equalizer (Z bar) is distorted. How are the bushings in the clutch pedal? How much movement of the pedal do you have before the release lever contacts the pressure plate?

    Help - Clutch Pedal Jumps

The assist spring under the dash is too powerful for your new pressure plate. Pity you didn't look at the Glazier/Nolan catalog. They list your disc as G06245. http://www.mustangbarn.com/catalog.pdf

    Best Resources For Newbie

There is no reproduction of any original 70-73 steering wheel at this time. You can have originals reconditioned, but the cost is so high I would not do this to any but the deluxe rim-blow wheel. The Moto-Lita is excellent, a beautiful wheel, and every one is finished to museum quality. Some...

67-68 Cougar Xr7 Instrument Bezel Vs 67-68 Mustang Instrument Bezel--interchangeable?

The 69 could be interchanged because the dash itself was removable. This is not the case in 67-68. I'm pretty sure cutting, and perhaps welding, would be required to use the Mustang dash panels in an xr7.

4 Or 5 Ply Leaf Springs?

Even the mighty BOSS 429 NASCAR-engine Mustang had 4-leaf springs. 5-leaf would tend to be stiffer than that. Putting ultra-stiff springs on your car to solve a handling problem is fine for a competition car, but if you are driving on the street there are more sophisticated ways. Upgraded...

    Data Plate Riveting

Yeah, the inside of the rivet forms a round hump. Put the plate in place, insert a rivet, and with a pin pinch or smooth-ended bolt, flatten the hump. The rivet will expand and hold the plate. Be careful, it's soft aluminum and you can easily punch right through the rivet.

1966 Rubber Bushings In Front Suspension

You need to get the special "Mustang upper control arm shaft" grease fitting kit. These are low-profile extended fittings. No drilling is required, the shaft caps already had plugged holes in them. Many times service stations cut holes in the towers to do this, which is a really bad idea. If...

1968 Mustang Floor Console Shift Indicator Light Adjustment?

Any state I have lived that inspects motor vehicles requires the indicator that tells what gear you are in to be functional. The high beam indicator light must also function. Here in PA if either of those itty-bitty bulbs is burnt out, the car will fail.

Is It Easier To Put The Engine And T5 In Seperate, Or Attach Them, Then Put It In?

Around here a rebuildable Mustang C4 core runs around $200. Heck, just the floor shift lever in the side could be worth up to $75 all by itself.
