    Do Not run 15W50 in the winter Period. Infact with your mild engine combo running that thick oil in the summer is pretty much pointless as well. You'll get lot's of mixed opinion's on this but my opinion is you don't even need such a thick oil. 5W30, or 10W30 would be the better oil to run. Shon

    Just bought new AFR 185 heads what a night mare!!

    Very Odd.... Had no problem's at all with myAFR 205's.... Infact I was very impressed with them. For your header bolt's you could have got some 3/4" long header bolt's from ARP.... Or do what I did.... I grinded my bolt's down to the proper length... with Aluminum Head's you want as much...

    Check the slip yoke carefully.... If there is any bad or deep groove's in it chance's are that's your problem. Otherwise if your installing it correctly which it sound's like you are then you've got quite the dilema. Being that the T-5 case is Aluminum (Scrathes, Groove's Easily) it's possible...

    Pedestal or Stud ?

    It's a bit hard to tell with the reflection in the picture but it look's like pedestal to me. Look's like it's a Y 302 GT-40 Head which I believe are designed for pedestal mount.... Some machining could easely solve that so you can use stud's. Shon

    You have Cast Piston's, low compression smog head's, etc. etc. Chances are the rear end is an 8.8 with 28 Spline axles, and yes gear's and posi can be interchanged from a Mustang. Stock an AOD is fairly weak... they cant take much of a beating from a mild 5.0. They can be built though to...

    The Air Dam is your problem... I'll pretty much guarantee it. A buddy of mine removed his and had the exact same problem...put it back on and his cooling problem was gone. The air dam is there to force air up into and through the rad instead of the air just flowing by underneath the car. Shon
