Exactly. Run it gently for 3,000 miles and always vary the RPMs.

Car and Driver Review- 05 Stang vs. 05 GTO

You also get an additional 100-hp and 80-ft/lb of torque. To some people... the added fuel costs might be worth it.

Does anyone know the full specs on the O5 GT powerplant

The LS1 is a beast of an engine with lots of potential. I would not downplay that engine -- or the Mustang's.

two 05 gt`s run at the track... [video]

And that is with a 350-hp 2004 GTO. Imagine a 400-hp 2005 GTO. Sounds like the 2005s, with good conditions/driver, could really end being capable of high 12s in stock trim. That's absolutely awesome. I'm wondering what the Mustang might lose do to the ETC setup. I imagine it will not...

Test drove a 05 GT for about 20 miles!

That is what people with ugly cars always say... :nice: PS- Yes, I'm joking, I do love the look of the Mach 1s.

Dodge really muffed the new Charger

There are rumors of 6-speeds getting into LX cars (Magnum, Charger, etc). So who knows? They just came out, they have plenty of room for feature changes/additions. If you add leather, automatic, 18" rims, and such to a Mustang GT, it does creep closer to the $30K Magnum RT price (which has...

    05 dynoes at 275rwhp and 292rwtq stock

So are cars better due to "per inch power" or "overall power"? Because I betcha there's a bunch of 4-cyl that put down more "per inch power" than a new Mustang GT. Are they "better"? My point is that this is a lame argument from either side... :nonono:

    kinda mad!!!!

Because a RWD coupe w/ 300/315 V8 for $25K is beyond reasonable? :nono:
  19. thehemi

    Bloody 5K over the sticker!

Just wait and let the prices come down. You should not even pay MSRP for a GT. Unless losing thousands of dollars for no reason is worth it to be "one of the 1st"s.

Nov. issue of Motor Trend: Auto GT goes 13.6 @ 99

Give me a RWD V8 over a boosted (A|F)WD econobox anyday. Not sure how they even get compared all the time, because I would never even consider them to be in the same segments.
