    all 95 explorers and 97 up mountaineers have 31 spline carriers. The carrier bearing caps have been know to blow out under high torque applications, like built V8's, they need a harness to be truly reliable.

    I was going to do this to my car, however I had a buddy that decided to do it and he actually cracked his 31 spline explorer carrier across the spline input when he went to the track.

    remove the lines from the back of your heads and invert the connector to cap them off, take all your emissions off, egr, all that. You shouldn't go into FMEM by just doing that.

    check for coolant in the oil, and oil in the coolant, smell the exhaust.

    if you going turbo then you need to go with a custom grind, talk to bennet cams, they can custom grind you one for 280 dollars.
