    19 stang vert ????

Are there lowering springs for 4 cylinder convertibles?

IIRC convert has stiffer rear springs since the weight bias has more weight in the rear (100-150lbs?) due to hydraulics and electric motors for the top.

Go buy the new Muscle Mustang & Fast Ford magazine...SVO Dyno test...

No, it said that there was a shortage of aero headlight housings because demand for aero headlight housings was so great and the Lincolns got first priority so it was predicted there were not going to be any available for the SVO so they had to do a quick redesign to use sealed beams...or...

Go buy the new Muscle Mustang & Fast Ford magazine...SVO Dyno test...

I didnt buy it, my friend saw the SVO article and bought it for me knowing Id be all over that article. I found the SVO info interesting too. I did not know the reason that the 84's had sealed beams instead of halogen bulbs. I was intrigued by the 60mm throttle body adapter. Doesnt the...

Some questions regarding my 91 LX convertible

I have some questions if you dont mind... 1) I can get a 190lph pump and installed in my car for $200. Is a 190lph pump enough to feed a 88 Turbo Coupe 2.3L turbo? 2) I have been eyeballing Stingers exhaust components so this is probably mostly directed at Stinger. Will the 3" downpipe work...

I now have a 91LX convertible, need help.

I just bought a 91 LX convertible. It was originally a automatic but the guy I bought it from converted it to a 5 speed. Here is the problem. I start the car and it starts right up with no problem. Does idle rough sometimes and sometimes dies at lights but for the most part low rpm...

Your thoughts on a 2.3T Pinto...

IIRC Pinto weighed between 2200-2400lbs depeinding on how it was loaded.

    just got a 65 Mustang 289 with a problem...

You can spray liquid wrench into the cylinders to try and help unstick the rings.

Your thoughts on a 2.3T Pinto...

Are you kidding? I would kill for a Pinto with a good body and turbo 2.3L. I love Pinto's and have owned 4. Double A-arm front suspension, rack and pinion steering, wide and short body leads to great handling IMHO. My dad had a 75 runabout with a fully built n/a 2.3L with solid cam, long tube...

    1979 Turbo Cobra

The '79 Carb turbo is not anything like a EFI turbo as far as the plumbing is concerned. The exhaust pipe comes off the stock n/a style exhaust manifold and then GOES UNDER the engine to the turbo which is positioned on the intake maifold behind the carb. the turbo's compressor outlet blows...

Most of V8 swap complete READ THIS!!

Nice that you switched to a Ranger roller cam but with your setup you really need a good cam wiht a profile intended for a turbo motor. That would probably give you a significant boost in power. Your setup does sound pretty sweet.

    carded turbo

If you use a turbo motor short block it should have forged pistons and the carb turbo has flat top pistons so it will have higher compression. As I mentioned above your best performance will be using the later EFI square bore lower intake and use the Racer Walsh 2bbl adapter. The lower EFI...

    carded turbo

You can use a EFI turbo shortblock with the carb turbo head but how are you planning on hooking up a 4bbl carb? You can also run more boost since the later turbo engines used dished pistons. Are you keeping this as a turbo or talking about making this a high performance carb engine? The...

    carded turbo

You need forged pistons or else keep the boost low. You also need to make a turbo oil return line fitting into the bottom side of block or top side of oilpan. You can get a tee fitting where the oil pressure sensor is located and run a line off of that to the turbo. Also make sure the vacuum...

    Quick question

I am not going to claim to be 100% accurate as I am going off my memory which has proven to be mistaken on occasion. If my memory is correct the 79-81 carb turbo cars used the stock normally aspirated head but got high temp alloy exhaust valve. I dont think it has the later style EFI turbo...
