Okay what's the deal with the power dip as you pass 3k rpm?

Definitely goes away with a tune, I often laugh at those who waffle about the tune, they just don't believe me when I mention all the wonderful things the tunes can fix.

Got the car detailed, pics inside...56k go hump a moose

Yeah gotta do a polish & wax on my car. I even bought a random orbit polisher to get it done but it's just sat in the garage for the past couple months. Partly weather, partly because I've been doing renos for 2 weeks solid.

    4:10 gears a bit tall?

Well I am still in the break in but the 3.73's are nice, just enough extra jump to feel good but not so much I feel like it looses driving manners. Hopefully the track opens soon. :)

GT500 spoiler vs stock GT (functionality question)

The only wing I've had on a Mustang that actually made a noticable difference to rear downforce was my Cervini's Saleen Whaletail on my old 81 T-Top Coupe.

    4:10 gears a bit tall?

Getting 3.73's put in as we speak, can't wait!

    1st time at the track

It will take time fo sho. Look at the mods mentioned though, just LCA's and the intake/tuner will make all the difference in the world.

    1st time at the track

I've been racing for years at the strip, not like every weekend but I'm certainly experienced enough to know what to do. Density Altitude does make a difference, for instance here in Calgary we're 3500 ft above sea level, but our density altitude during the summer can pass 6000ft! Anyways I...

Q: for those with Agent 47 Mirrors

Yeah I had a time getting the old glass off but once I did the one side the other side just flew. Quite happy with mine.

S197 owners with the OEM or aftermarket plenum covers

I'd agree to check this, though I have to comment that I was the first to post on dropping the cover down when they first came out. ;) Sorry I had to. At any rate, I just had mine off last night after being dropped for over a year and had no signs of wearing on my hose, but as you suggest...

    New pics after lowering

Looks good though when taking pics try to have the sun more to the sides than overhead if possible, there is a lot of lost detail around the wheels.

A question for all you people with a lot of mods

Well dealers up here don't seem to have their head in their ass like down the US. I don't have anything too radical outside of a tune, but when I get gears later on that will change. Of course they'll never know I have them unless they drive it and as long as the problem doesn't occur because...

    Black tail light bezels installed...pics

I went with these, I think they look great. Well they were the smoked acrylic when I got them, then I scuffed and painted flat black. I loved them before I got the SHR panel but with I think it fills out the back end nicely.

    Who wins???

Yeah take it to the drags, but I think the 06 should take it.

What is the general consensus about Vortech

I've had both types over the years on various cars and for on the street enjoyment and day to day drive ability the roots or twin screw types were more enjoyable compared to the centrifugal. That being said with gears the centrifugal are pretty nice and flexible around expandability, but one...

Gotta love Spring in the Rockies

Yeah it's pretty much gone already, a few small small patches here and there, a fantastic +18c today, I was wandering around without a jacket on, first time this year. ;) Sadly we can get snow every month of the year with the freak storms but typically after May long weekend (the 3rd weekend)...

Here's what I woke up to this morning. And it's supposed to be +20c on Sunday.

    Squealing Roush UDP's. Solutions?

Sounds like a belt to me, the pullies won't squeal themselves. How many miles on that car? The belts should be good fora while.

    RPM Outlet Drag Pac

Quite often they do drop ship from vendor, whch hey is fine but IMO just leads me t think I should go with someone who handles the gear like I dunno, the vendor or a shop like Brenspeed or Bama that actually does installs and works with the stuff. I could become a parts wholesaler like RPM...

    2nd time at track=disapointment.

Make sure you're no rolling through the water with those street tires, that's just asking for wheelspin. The water doesn't do jack for street tires aside from sray it around and sit in your sipes. You get up to the line and then spin on the water. I always drive around the water and a friend...

    Rim care help...

I use simple green to clean and then wax once in a while with some spray detailer to clean them up intermittently or just before shows. I agree though I have some swirls on mine, imagine I'll use some polish and tidy it up this spring.
