    mass air conversion problem!?!?

the casing of the mass air computer got damaged. So he took the computer 'guts' out and put them into a spare SD computer's casing. He had it in a mass air mustang and it works fine. and the wiring harness is out of a mass air car. I tried hooking my SD computer up just to see if I could get the...

I found out it is the right computer, it's just in a older casing... no I haven't spliced any wires. If I have the WHOLE wiring harness out of a mass air car and the computer, why do I have to splice wires?

    Overheating...

make sure your fan is blowing air not pulling, replace thermostat if you haven't yet and your radiator could be clogged. I just had the same problem with my new motor. I replaced the radiator and it stays cool no matter what now.

    quiet, yet mean mufflers?!?

my motor with the flowmasters, headers, O/R X-pipe is too loud to have my son in the car...I need to get a quieter muffler, yet I want it to still sound nice. What mufflers would you recommend? I know the dynomax superturbos are quiet, but they sound too much like stock mufflers.

    hp/tq estimation please

how much do you loose approx. through a stock T-5? 10-12% ? 12% would put me at about 299rwhp, I can live with that :flag: I wanted to get 300rwhp and 300+ torque out of this setup. The closest dyno to me is like an hour and a half drive into Kansas City, so it will be awhile till I get it dynoed.

    hp/tq estimation please

we tried 45psi and 15*, then we tried 38psi and 15* and 38psi lost power, so we went to 42 and was better feeling. and with my high compression, we backed the timing to 13* with 91 octane till I get used to driving it and get my vaccum leaks/ heat problem fixed. you think I'm getting 300rwhp...

    hp/tq estimation please

The moto also has 10.7:1 compression, FP is set at 42, timing 13*. with the setup in my sig, what do you think? I had to have the heads milled another .040" so my total milled amount is .080"...

    Cooling system

that depends on the radiator cap doesn't that? It should say on the top of the cap...probably like 16-18lbs? also replace your thermostat, make sure your belt is routed properly so that the fan and water pump are doing its job. also, if the radiator cap is bad, it won't hold the proper pressure...

I know they are really expensive, I had problems getting my mods to work with speed density. I got...
