    Stock Forged Pistons?

    I have never heard of the oil pan color thing. :shrug: From what I have been told is all '87-'92 5.0's have forged pistons. '93 hyper's. It was a cost cutting measure in '93 to turn more of a profit. I also think the '93 Cobra's had hypers too.

    Mobil 1 10W-30. Going to switch to 5W-30. I have heard a lot of experienced people tell me the 5.0's love the 5W-30. Better flow for the top end. :shrug: We'll see.

    Tokico if you're on a budget. Bilstein if not. I was going to go with the Kini's, but decided to wait until I have enough for the Bilsteins. they are THE BEST shock money can buy. Plus, you can't kill them!

    BBK vs FRPP shorty headers

    BBk are OK. I took mine back because of welding flash in the stud holes. The stud would not screw in. You would think they would clean them up before shipping but :shrug: I went with the FRPP Shorties. No problems at all!

    The "CAI" is NOT a "performance" modification.

    I don't no man, I just painted my intake plaque and increased my horsepower by 6. :rlaugh: WTF? Everyone knows that a CAI is only good if you need to have it for forced induction applications. The best CAI is the stock box, K&N with the baffle removed. Period!

    Yep! :nice: the Eddy's are better and cheaper too! They also come with better springs. Plus, if you go with a Eddy intake they are all port matched! I have read a lot on all the heads available and my shop also recommends the Eddy's over AFR's!

    In case you were curious. I weighed my stock heads vs my new FRPP Y303 heads.

    Replace all the body panels with aluminum! :D You can get out of control. I think a great benefit of loosing 56 pounds off the front is the increase in braking performance!

    I am pretty good with a wrench. But, there are a list of things that I won't even try. Gears are on the top of that list! Springs are a close second because of the danger aspect. Too old and have two young kids. Somethings are better left to the pro's!

    whats a good balancer??? need some advice

    I am having some work done this week @ Mustang Services in Woodstock GA. My balancer is wobbling and told them to replace it while it's there. I don't know which one he's using but it only costs $85. I was going to do it myself, but they are dropping in some subframes and 3.73's.
