new jersey guys i need advice

I don't understand what your question is, but the people bought the whole shop, including the name. My friend is having work done there right now and I would still recommend them as he isnt having any problems with them.

new jersey guys i need advice

Laroccas is not owned by Jimmy LaRocca anymore. I would still recommend them and would talk to Andrew since he's the only one who stayed since the new ownership and does the dyno tuning. Not that this is a bad thing as he has done all my dyno tunes with awesome results. I plan on calling him...

    Battery Cables

I used all Marine Grade "Tinned" 2g cables with soldered ends and heat shrink wrapped for both negative and positive. I recommend this because this way you will probably never have to worry about it again. It takes a good amount of time to measure, cut, solder, and install every one so why not...

    EFI vs Carb

Why not go big block like a 514ci stroker. Should be no problem to make the horsepower you want with little trouble.

    New Motor

CHECK FOR VACUUM LEAKS!!! This will cause the car to have a really big lope at idle and will still run fine. Go over all your vacuum connections as I can bet you have one that you did not reconnect or is cracked/broken somewhere.

    Painting pony wheels

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=643898&highlight=paint I made up a pretty good list of stuff there and supplied pictures of the results. I think they came out good.

    Rear main seal

You shouldn't need anything to tap the new seal in. I Would recommend putting some ultra black rtv sealant on the outside of the rear mail seal to help it slide on easier and a light coat of oil on the inside of it and on the crank. Thank take the seal and get the bottom to catch first, than...

    Do I need a by-pass valve?

I would find a regular bosche Bypass valve from something like an S-trim kit and rig it up yourself. If i'm not mistaken you have an aluminum discharge tube so just get a bung welded in or drill and tap it for a 1" hose fitting. You are also going to need to do the same for the intake tothe...

    Do I need a by-pass valve?

That is a good point, I just wanted to clarify, not confuse. I guess if your running 7 psi on a 427 Dart small block, you should know the difference by now. :D

Many little problems after 347 install = Rant

For those with oil leaks from the lower intake in the rear. Make sure to fill in the gaps where the head gasket does not reach the surface. I had to redo my lower intake because oil was leaking out of here and just enough to mess with my clutch. Make sure to get this area real good from the...

    T-5 , Driveshaft Questions

I'm having the same problem. I marked my driveshaft on the pinion flange with no problems but am having trouble getting the yoke and the output shaft on the trans correctly balanced. One time I took it out and put it back in and the vibrations went away. Anyone have comments as to which way...

Engine Oil Leak from Lower Intake! It seemed like it?

I think your better off with silicone. I use Ultra Black RTV and lay a nice thick TALL bead to make sure that it seals properly. Also use it around the water ports which looks like you dont have a problem with.

    Do I need a by-pass valve?

Why would boost have anything to do with needing a bypass valve? I can have 3psi in a 600ci motor but when the throttle body shuts closed, thats a huge amount of cfm trapped in the inlet tube that cant get out. CFM should be meaured instead of boost since when you shut the throttle, there is no...

Engine Oil Leak from Lower Intake! It seemed like it?

Look at the area circled. I had an oil leak near the shield area between the motor and the bellhousing. I replaced my rear main seal with no luck. Than I pulled the lower intake, sealed those corners, and reinstalled and what do you know, no more leaks!!! What type of Head Gaskets did you...

Can any of u guys keep up with a Ls1?

I usually never had a problem with LS1's. Now I i'm shootin for around 450rwhp with the new combo so we'll see what happens. This assumes they are not packing a 393 stroker, HCI. Than i'm dead meat.

    331 or 347?

Why would he go with a 306? Go with a 331 or 347 and enjoy some extra horsepower with the stock heads. Than when you have the funds go with a better set of heads and wake that motor right up. I'd personally go with a 331 just for my own reasons but the choice is up to you, either will make more...

3.90 gears...I have a vibration in the driveline..remove dog bone?

Wow, thanks!! :bang: Pokageek pretty much hit the nail on the head with his last post and am thankful that someone understands what is going on. Assuming the same 5th gear ratio, RPM vs. Driveshaft speed will NEVER change no matter what gear you use. It's only the fact you have never...
