    Orlando area mechanic shops?

There's Lamotta performance on 17-92 in Longwood. He has a solid racing reputation and a lot of local Mustangs have been tweeked by him. He does everything from basic bolt ons to full turbo systems. You may have seen him in 5.0 magazine. They use his shop and mechanics every so often.

    94 Mustang starter problems

You need a 164 tooth flywheel. Then you can use the stock starter. I assume the starter turns but doesn't engage the flywheel.

Update: After working through JRichker's checklist I was down to the last detail. Starter Fluid. One shot of this magical gas and all was well. Problem may have been: Old gas in the fuel bowls (sat six months), cold temperature (65 degrees), Gremlins etc

The distributor has not been removed since the last time it ran. I am working my way through your checklist and have resolved myself to a fuel problem. I purchased some starter fluid and will try that tomorrow along with some fresh fuel. Everything I read says that it is either spark or fuel...

    No start question

Update: I spent a great deal of time with MSD tech support. We eliminated problems with the box and coil and verified that the magnetic pickup was working. There is spark at the plugs. The timing light shows the spark occurs at TDC. All wiring checks out. I have fuel pressure and the...

    No start question

After several months of down time I finally got the headers on and went to fire it up. As you may have guessed by the title of this thread it didn't. The engine ran fine prior to taking off the headers. This is a carbed 408 with an MSD 6AL. Firing order has been checked and rechecked...

Finished the 393 but need to plug the old dip stick hole

The threads are 1/4NPT or 3/8NPT I can't remember which. These pipe plugs can be found at any home depot or through Summit Racing. Use the right part! They're cheap and will last a lifetime. Don't forget to use teflon tape.

    Kooks Header Guys Please Help!!

Talk to George R. He seems to think that the headers are fine with one hanging lower than the other.

    Kooks Header Guys Please Help!!

I received my Kooks headers (long tube) last year before going on the Hot Rod power tour. I installed them and found that the passenger side hung lower than the drivers side by over 1/2 an inch. On my way to NJ the passenger side hit everything in their path and flattened the bottom two tubes...

I just read this to my wife and she busted out laughing. It took me five minutes to convince her that I didn't write it. Great description!!! :nice:

Ugh.... Flowmaster or Xbox 360 convince me....

Let me think... An exhaust system that requires you to be out in the real world driving your Mustang and interacting with fellow humans to enjoy it or... An X Box that requires you to sit on your couch for hours on end experiencing someone elses canned life and paying them to do so. I'm...

    Tips for removing 5.0 engine

I found that labeling both ends of every wire and vacuum line connection with masking tape and a black marker helped me get everything back together. Believe it or not there will be a part left over that you haven't marked and you'll have no idea where it goes. Just put that in your spare...

AOD help with fixing/adjusting TV linkage on throttle body needed, see pic

Take it to a tranny shop. Don't drive it until they adjust the linkage. The damage can be expensive. $20.00 is money well spent to insure that the adjustment is correct.

    Central Florida Alignment Shop?

I took mine to Irish Mike's on Forsythe in Orlando. They do a lot of work with road racing cars and our local autocross club. They will dial in the suspension based on your particular parameters. CC plates allow you to adjust things the way you want them not just back to stock specs...
