    No, the gt-40 crate motor comes with the aluminum gt40x heads if I am not mistaken. The cobra had normal cast iron gt40's on it. What kind of intake manifold do you have on that thing?

    Might also want to check the negative battery cable. They seems to crack/deteriorate after time, and could also cause this problem.

    Low 13's would require hooking up very well, probably some weight loss, and some very agressive driving. I see more along the lines of mid to high 13's though.

    What did you change when you did this? Just the plugs, or plugs and wires? Sounds like you have a possible wire mixed up, so it is missing. Did you gap the spark plugs correctly?

    What it actually says is that the peak horsepower has to due with the e.t. you put in, and that the average horsepower is due to the mph. So if you spun and got a high mph, but not a very good et, it will show up wrong.

Reason being, when the key is in the on position, there will be current going through the pink/black wire which I am not supposed to splice into, because it is turning on the pump.     I appreciate the help, but I don't have a red/black wire. It is just a solid red. Going by tmoss's diagram, I have the pink/black wire, the tan/green wire, and the orange/blue wire. It's just that the red wire is not red/black. Is that still the wire I splice into, the solid red wire that is?
