    93 4cyl 5 speed trans....into 92 5.0

    The 5.0 tranny and the 4-cyl tanny are a little different, the 4-cyl being weaker due to the input shaft. You would need the smaller pilot bearing to fit the 4-cyl tranny, but it would bolt right up with the proper bell housing. I don't think it would last long with the torque of a big block...

    I'd say you have a vacuum leak.. With the car idling, spray carb cleaner all around your intake slowly, and if you hear a throttle change, you have a leak..

    Starter is thrashing my Flywheel

    The plate is a 'block plate' and it is NEEDED to shim the starter properly.. Get one on ebay for $20.. Also, I have seen the bendix (sp?) on starts go bad, and cause the same thing you describe, but I can't imagine it happening on three starts in a row..

    Did you get the pedestal mounted heads, or the stud mounted heads? IF pedestal, just torque to spec. If stud, try 1/4 to 1/2 turn past..

    If you have the heads off, it makes it 100x easier.. The older MACs, that you don't have to put the steering shaft through are fairly easy IMHO.. I'd second the BBKs also..

    Yeah, it's 4.5 backspacing, with 275/60s . I had to run a 1/4" spacer, otherwise I would have had to use the BFH on the inner fenderwells. No rubbing now, and that's a 28" tire. Brandon

    The bolts will work.. That is dependant on your heads.. As for the midpipe donuts, are the heads ball or 3-bolt flange?

    The 87-93 Mustang compatible one is.. :P I just pulled one off a 5.0 . Just make sure you upgrade a stock fuel pump.

    The fan should pull THROUGH the radiator into the engine compartment. Simple flip it over.

    I put the transgo in mine, with 3.27 gears, and it made a BIG impovement. I recommend calling transgo about what you should go with, since you have the 3.73s, they have great tech. With the transgo, at 1/8th throttle like you mention, mine shifts 1-2 2800 rpm 2-3 3000 rpm 3-4 2900 rpm...

    How to find out what kind of tranny i have??

    If it's a 91, and has a TV cable, and says "Ford Automatic" on the tranny pan, you have an AOD..
