Who's waiting till after winter to get 05GT???

Hmmm....But, isn't that exactly what it will be doing next winter...and during winters in the future?

    DAMN!!

Well, it's no wonder you got a ticket...they were probobly waiting for your friend to come back, and you were likely going more than a few mph's over the limit too. BTW, usually when one refers to a roadway as a street (as in your post), there's a good chance that it's one with a speed limit...

    1970Impala Part 2

I agree about the UV exposure. The spout looks like it got some too. I think that even if unused, age has yellowed it just a bit. Too bad these are so damn hard to find!

    1970Impala Part 2

I saw that about 30 seconds after it appeared...if it was the same as the one for a '76, I'd be bidding on it too! Looks like it might have been used a bit, (see discoloration on the bottom) but, a real nice piece nonetheless. Jon...looks like an early stocking stuffer for you. If you are a...

Which one is better on 05??

I'll second this opinion, adding that I believe these cars beg for a more retro wheel and a higer profile tire combination altogether. Option B looks better with the car lowered than at stock ride height, but wouldn't be my choice in any case. The '05 has a somewhat heavy look along the rear...

What if it wern't what it is?

I appreciate your comments (Hissing Cobra), and agree entirely with the last sentence of your post. Not often I (or probably anyone) gets a chance to hear from someone that owns a first year Fox car. As such, you more than many would likely relate to the II owners being bashed etc., as there are...

What if it wern't what it is?

 What a coincidence that I was able to find this error and make my post 2 minutes before you! In any case, any mention of the Mustang II stated before your first response was clearly made in attempt to help others take a better overall perspective on the issue, before commenting. I felt...

What if it wern't what it is?

Just a quick timeout here, to issue a public apology to 351CJ. Amidst the many responses this thread has generated, I see that I have overlooked post #14, which includes his responses to my initial questions. Thanks 351CJ...your input is appreciated, offering yet another perspective.

H.P. numbers for 75-78 302 with bolt ons?

Agreed...I just assumed that the smog stuff was already long gone. Yes, no more than 600cfm carb on that otherwise stock or lightly modified engine.

    Something new to read...

Thanks Dale, I liked your comments there, and am happy that you were entertained at the same time. :D Unfortunatly however. it seemed a certain poster just didn't want to answer the original questions tho, (about the '05's) ....after getting hung up on a relatively insignificant point...

Wart...I hope I don't think of your post while I'm eating turkey...I might choke! :rlaugh: Have a great Thanksgiving..you made my day.

H.P. numbers for 75-78 302 with bolt ons?

Dale, I can't give you any figures, but can assure you that the mods you suggest will give you a noticable performance increase. You might also want to consider a mild cam change to take best advantage of the other mods however, and perhaps switch to a slightly better rear gear ratio in the...

    Anyone buying for "collector" status?

Ricks: Aside for being in almost full agreement with you, I would like to add a few thoughts about this topic. As I see it, the '05's will/should be a car that will hold some value with less depreciaton than many others, but mostly due to the fact there will continue to be market of...

What if it wern't what it is?

Reply to your "hot button" paragraph: Ummm....sorry if the "memories" in my opening post forced you into having to give yet one more "reality check" to someone. :D The original "lightweight" statement however, was not a "memory", and I've already conceeded that I am not disputing the...

    Something new to read...

Things are a little slow in here since the onset of the winter season has begun. I have ventured over into the '05 forum and started a thread that some of you might find interesting reading during a down moment here. The title of the thread is.... "What if it wern't what it is?" The topic...

What if it wern't what it is?

Well, the heavier that engine riding in the hatch gets, the larger each of our errors get! :D No real argument here, but perhaps I didn't really "get" the meaning of your smiley, partially prompting my reply which I percieve you may have felt was to challenge you. :nonono: I don't...

How much more supply will there be in the Spring?

In the spring, I would expect them to be bumping into one another as they exit the dealerships. I would however, suggest that anyone purchasing "off the lot" in the spring, check the manufacture date. Last car you want are the ones that were customer "test mules" and salesmens lot cars for 4...

What if it wern't what it is?

I can appeciate your thinking in this case.... and the last words of your answer pretty much sum up the reasoning, as to why all Mustang owners don't and will never agree, on what "really qualifies" a Mustang being a "real" Mustang!

What if it wern't what it is?

Gezz..what some people do to prove such a small point of contention! It's apparent that you either didn't get my reply as a joke, or just don't like hearing one when you comment? You also mistakenly assumed that I meant a 351C, when in fact the lighter 351W would be the more common, easier...

    Center of Attention

You may not believe this, but driving a lightly modified Mustang Cobra II has brought me similar response for the better part of the last 28 years. In my case, and at this point in time, it is moreso because of the total lack of such mid 70's vintage Mustangs on the road anywhere. Your new '05...
