Need some exhaust system advice before removing

I agree avoid Dronemaster/Blowmaster. I've had them before and can't stand them. I have Dynomax Ultraflo and really like them. I also like Magnaflow. I think you would probably like Magnaflow with the resonators.

    Exhaust System

I like Dynomax Ultraflo mufflers. I have them on my car now and think it sounds perfect. I had Flowmasters before and coudn't stand them. Anything but hollow tin can droning Flowmasters. If you want a pretty loud exhaust, then get Race Bullets. Straight through > chambered mufflers...

Is Versaille rear a bad idea?

I agree with whats already been said. I have a Versailles rear end in mine and the only real issue is the availabilty of parts for the brakes. Rock Auto and Mustangs Plus have most of it, but the short hoses are hard to find. They are said to be on back order at some places and others say...

    Master Cylinder Suggestions

I have Granada front and Versailles rear on mine, and If I remember correctly, this is the one I am using with non power brakes. I'm also using an SSBC adjustable proportioning valve like this. DUAL BOWL MASTER CYLINDER FOR MANUAL DISC BRAKES 1964-1973 | CJ Pony Parts...

    Electrical questions

I also have no idea why the illumination would only work with park lights on and not with headlights on. Are you positive that it worked that way before permantently installing? That really doesn't make sense. Nice work. I did something similar so I could keep my OIL warning light on my...

    Rewiring Help Needed

I just finished installing basically a full chassis OE style reproduction wiring harness in mine. I would definitely go this route. Everything is the correct color that matches the repair manual as well as the correct length and pre-terminalized.

    65 Rear Wing

That one 2+2 posted on the Shelby is probably the only spoiler/wing on a 65-66 Mustang I have seen that looks good.

Hacked up Transmission tunnel & Doors

I have no idea how to patch the doors and recreate the texture. I don't think that would be an easy task. I think your best bet is to just put speakers back in for now. As far as the hole in the tunnel goes, I think unless your attatched to the BM shifter, I would patch that up and put a...

What did you do to your classic Mustang today?

We finished replacing all the old wiring with a full reproduction wiring harness. We also added an auxilary relay controlled and fused power distribution block for all the stuff that did not come factory on the car.

    Paint then and now

Why not just wait for better weather and take the 66 down the the dealer and park it next to a new one and see?

Dynomax is building a 2012 Mustang and wants your advice!

As for cosmetic modifications, I suggest doing things that look like they could have been a factory option. Either use parts from other models of the new Mustang or even if its aftermarket or custom made, make it subtle. A clean look is better than an overdone look. By the way, I have...

1966 Mustang no rust repair but we are still going to cut it up

That looks awesome!!! Very nice! Its nice to see a clean air filter instead of the ugly KN's. I love how the car looks stock. Maybe I missed it, what master cylinder is that? I thought fox body headers wouldn't work at all on classics? Was the interference at the back corner of the...

    H-pipe or X-pipe with Tri-Y's

In my opinion Flowmaster is the worst especially for sound. It sounds like a hollow tin can and drones. I switched to Dynomax Ultraflo and love them. They are similar to Magnaflow, but sound a bit more old school. I have Magnaflow on my old body style F150 and like it too. I do prefer...
