    right normally a vinyl roof is the full roof (kinda like a fake convertible) and a landau roof is just the rear portion of the roof. the pic doesnt show it much but it is done in blue vinyl and the car is a deeper blue.

    finally found out why my car has a landau roof. it wasnt from factory, it was dealer installed. sent to maine from moncton to have it done. mystery solved lol i think i may keep it, im not fond of them but it looks ok and besides it makes it different from any around here thats for sure lol...

    how old is the jack? sears will usually replace it if its defective if you have the reciept. i would try that first, take it back says its defective and see what they will do. ask to speak to the manager, if they give you trouble. i believe it should have between a 60 day and one year warranty...

    here is just a thought.. when you go in reverse the motor tips the opposite way it does when going forward. could be possible that it is grounding a wire when it does. maybe with the hood up at night, have someone stand in front as you try reverse to see if he sees any spark. the other thing...

    there should be a small pressure relief hole in the cap. if its plugged it will cause excess pressure as well. its a possiblitity.

    one other cause could be too much oil in it..make sure its not too full. also maybe try changing the oil filler cap. if its clogged could be the problem as well. could just borrow one from a friend to test it. when you pull the PCV, with the engine running there is sucking air right? if not...

    make sure the engine is at operating temp before you do compression check. rotate engine about 7 compression strokes to get reading. according to my book, compression says 101psi..not sure about that. in the chart it says the highest number..yours being 200..should have a min compression of...
