    The Complaint Department

Yes, I have a 69 Mustang Fastback, that filler neck takes up quite a bit of room, and the trunk is already small enough. I have to agree with Foghorn, exactly what I was going to say.

    Will we see a 2005 Mach 1?

No, cause the Mustang is actually different from the Focus, not the same friggin body, and they just didn't stuff a bigger engine in it. Sure, the hp numbers larger for the GTO, but what about the weight of all those options. And I bet the Mustang is somewhat underrated. I just don't think the...

Here's the New Mustang Lineup Ford should build!

I don't see a Boss 429 happening like that. I don't know why Ford would do that. And putting the 5.0 Cammer in a Boss 302 doesn't sound like Ford either. I'd love to have that, I would be the first in line for one, but I think Ford will probably stick to the 4.6 and 5.4, maybe something...

    Will we see a 2005 Mach 1?

Exactly, keep your Pontiac GTO bs to yourself, completely different segments as far as I am concerned. The GTO is a glorified Grand Am, and I don't think it will sell well at all. Not a concern for Mustang sales.

Fords new way of measuring HP

I don't know if I would actually believe Chiltons too much or not. They just rated them different, if I remember correctly, it was because they had the accessories turned on during the dynos, while in previous years they had them off. And the new pistons would probably not help horsepower too...

    bumper cut-outs? anyone have pics????

I haven't done it, but I've seen some, and I think they used a hole saw to cut it, but I do know not to get it too hot, or it will warp. If you wanted half moons, maybe a dremel would work, that might be too fast and get too hot?

please help, think my stang is on its last leg

Not really, I was getting my exhaust and headers put in, and we cut them off, and you could hear the rattle. I do know that it started out very mild sounding, not very loud nor very often, then they just got progressively worse. It was a real head scratcher. Our guy that did our exhaust told me...

    real quick question

Awesome, thanks for clearing that up, I wasn't very sure if they were different or not. Yeah, there was a running upgrade in 1989 that changed the tranny ratios and torque ratings, along with some stronger components for 2 to 3 shifts

please help, think my stang is on its last leg

I don't think pulling the belt off and running it is very smart, you'll drain the battery. Two Tone Terror: Where is the rattle coming from? I know I had this bad rattle, just like rocks in a tin can, and it was my cats, got those replaced, and it stopped.

    real quick question

I thought they were World Class T5's? They stopped Borg Warner's in 85-86, right...maybe? I am reading that right, that "BW" is Borg Warner?

What is the compression ratio for a stock 5.0?

I believe the reason they changed the numbers was because they rated it with all of the accessories on, when the previous years the had them off. And I'm sure the underrated horsepower ratings from Ford may have lowered insurance a little

What is the compression ratio for a stock 5.0?

My bad dude, I just got the 9.0:1 from all my other books, I don't have the Ford Mustang Manual yet, but thanks for the correction.

What is the best bang for your buck shifter.

If it has adjustable stops, it should be fine. The stock doesn't, and after a few gear bangings, it really thrashes the tranny. Isn't the stock shifter a Hurst, I thought I read somewhere it was?

    what kind of plug wires

Right now I run Ford 9mm wires. I think they cost like $40 or so, and they work great

    Guys with T-5 and 3:73's

I run 3.08 with a pretty stock engine.

What is the compression ratio for a stock 5.0?

Yeah, thats what we have, but I want the actual Ford manual. It's huge, like almost three times as thick as the Haynes or Chilton.
