I get about 160 in the city, or around 11mpg. If I'm nice to it, I can get 15mpg. On the highway, I get about 26 mpg. Mines stock, except for exhaust and the small stuff like timing. It's just that I'm always on the gas in the city. I like the smell of burning rubber. :p
The only time I ever go into 5th is on the highway just cruising at 70+, cause mine lugs really bad too. If I'm in town, I don't think I've ever gone above 3rd. I can stay in 3 until about 40-45 (all this according to my speedo, which I'm assuming is close enough to correct to use). I use 4th...
HAHAHA, thats gotta suck, I had my mufflers off for a week while I waited to get new ones, oh, believe me, it was fun to hit 4000 in second gear, going about 45, loud as hell, none of the cops cared, they left me alone.
VERY true, mmmmmm...Boss 302. and KR500 :hail2:
Mustangs have always (except for the late 70's, but hey, there was a oil crisis) had a great performance history, "Race on Sunday, sell on Monday," but they also appeal to a sporty crowd with the V6's (ha, trying to find a word to...
Heck ya, I've got Chiltons, I'm about to get the Haynes, I have the Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control, it's awesome, cause I had no clue how to work on electronically controlled engines, I was taught carbed engines. When I can scrape enough money, I'm gonna get the Official Ford...
Yup, thats what my Tech Reference & Perfomance Handbook says. I love this book, I've only had it for a week, but I've used it about 15 times, just for small things and misc. info
Supposedly, a place in Cincinnati or somewhere released the issue early, but thats what I read here. I dunno if it's true or not. Maybe somebody knows the true story.
I would really doubt it, that would be a pretty bad move by Ford. I'm sure you'll have red, white, green, blue, yellow (maybe), and whatever else is available today.
Alright, after doing some digging:
Mach 1: 3465 w/5 spd, 3475 w/auto
Standard Coupe: 3112 w/5 spd
GT Coupe: 3273 w/5 spd
SVT Cobra: 3665
I didn't look at Convertibles, cause those weigh more anyways. So it's not that bad, comparible to the Mach 1.
Does anybody know how many continuous amp the 3.8L fan draws? I have an 95 amp alternator that is brand new, I don't run my a/c except on the highway, and I only have a cd player. Do you think it would be alright?
