    302-347 engine vibration

Start by calling the company you got the crank from and ask them what you need for a balancer and a flywheel. See what they say.

did you actually place the intake on the valley to measure the difference? In your picture, your caliper is not at the point it should be at to measure the width. Just asking.

Convert to dual Exhaust 71 Mustang Mach1

Well I couldn't find an exhaust for it anyplace, I would find an exhaust shop and have one made.

Convert to dual Exhaust 71 Mustang Mach1

wont have to be a mach 1, any 71 mustang. After I posted that I took a look around and came up blank, but a couple of notes I may add. Are you sure it's a windsor? I'm not sure about '71, but in 70 a 351 4v was a cleveland, and a 351 2v was a windsor. Unless someone replaced the manifold and...

Convert to dual Exhaust 71 Mustang Mach1

look for an exhaust catalog online, the walker catalogs have actual pictures of the parts, you can compare the "y" pipe to the "H" pipe and see if they are the same at the engine end. If not you will need to buy the correct manifold, or have the exhaust made at an exhaust shop.

Convert to dual Exhaust 71 Mustang Mach1

the drivers side manifold may be different on the dual exhaust if I recall correctly, unless you're going to have an exhaust shop make it.

    FE engine

Can't be, it's American Iron, must be 1/10 of an inch. ;) ,,,If it has a thick cork valley gasket it will seem small until you start to tighten it. Did the intake come with that engine? Been a while since I screwed around with matching FE manifolds, but most of them are the same, there are a few...

Do ignition systems really do anything?

You may have misunderstood my post. I have nothing against points, and if I used my classics as occasional drivers I would keep the points, however I drive my cars and trucks everyday, and durospark has never since 1975 left me on the road, when they quit back in the day, you could pull over ...

OK I found a pic and a part # C3DZ-9431-A, I believe is what you are looking for and it is not the same as the mustang. http://mustangtek.com/exhaust/C3DE-9431-A.html and if you call ; Gene Messer Ford of Amarillo. You may find one. He may have one in stock. may want to change your vacation...

    another exhaust question

On preliminary search I couldn't find a listing for exhaust manifolds for a v8 falcon. I did find a Falcon Parts site that listed 6 cyl manifolds, but listed headers for the v8. So it's possible it's a different manifold than a mustang and nobody makes it. I put out a feeler with a guy that has...

WHen I saw Futura for some reason my old brain said Sprint, but you're talking about a falcon which explains the column shifter. That pic I posted is Mustang, most parts are interchangeable, but it's possible falcon used a different manifold because of the column shifter. Give me a minute or 6...

Do ignition systems really do anything?

As zookeeper said, points work, however I have to disagree that I would keep them. back in the day, every friday after work we'd all meet at the shell station in South Yarmouth pop the hoods and clean and set our points before heading out on the road.Although it was normal and we didn't mind...

    C4 Shifter Lever

Not clear on your actual problem , but I think what you are saying is the nut on the shifter shaft on the trans is stripped, if that is the case you need to replace the shifter shaft. As for the key lock, you can tie up the tab on the column that the rod used to attach to, or hit the junk yards...

Wondering if I was 'taken for a ride'...

Can't say I have ever had an engine with chunks of bearing in the pan that was quiet. Should be rapping up a storm. Where are you? Somebody here may know where you can get an honest appraisal of the engine condition. Me thinks they saw you coming...

    another exhaust question

There are different manifolds for different cars and different setups, if it's not original than you just need to buy one that fits your application. Does it look like this??? https://www.cjponyparts.com/exhaust-manifold-pair-260-289-302-1965-1970/p/EXM3/
