Wow sounds like a productive weekend, Jim! I wish i could say mine has been as productive....well it i guess it has, but its so much fab. to put in a roll cage. Its 9pm Sat night and due to sound ordinance, the garage is closed for the night. I have the main hoop, and one rear support tube...
prepping my under the hood for the color change.....welding my cage in next weekend then prepping the interior for the color change aswell. Hopefully shoot the interior with cage and under the hood the following weekend. Hey payup....we gotta hang out sometime!
UPDATES.....
Just keeping the thread alive....anyone have any new updates for thier winter projects? As for me, i just finished paying off my car trailer, and now i'm getting ready to order my AFRs. I figure i order those first, then the rest is all little $2-300 items....basically get over...
I'm saying we can push the car up on the trailer, but then i thought why don't we just bring the welder over when you are ready. Chris will do it for a case of Heineken, I'm sure. Good Luck, and let me know.

Hey Jim-
Sorry to see that rot problem there. Its actually quite common to have a rot spot there due to leaky master cylinders on these cars. The brake fluid eats the paint, and well the rest is history. I have a welder at my place if you need anything welded. I am not great welder, but...
I live in Taunton and have a MIG welder. If you need it welded in give me an email:
[email protected]
Include some details on exactly what you need done, prep work, cutting out the old pan, etc.

Well my setup is for a strickly race-only car. I am going to be running an electric water pump, only acc. being an alternator. The exhaust basically open, long tubes a couple glass packs and turn downs. I must say that is rather impressive for a relativly stock trim 302. I have read articles...
Okay...well i decided since i am going AFR, i should pay a visit to thier website. Went into the dyno test section and saw they had a 302 making 455 fwhp with AFR 185s! That seems a bit far fetched. Heres a breakdown of what the wonder engine has:
Horsepower: 455 @ 6100RPM
Engine: 302...
Whats going on man? Well my winter project has already begun. My engine is out...stripped to the shortblock....ready for som AFR 185's, FTI cam and a whole lot more....looking for high 11's all motor....maybe sub 11's on the squeeze. Good to hear you are still hammering away at the LX...sweet...
Man do i hate those stupid "euro" lights. If you want euro, then by a volkswagen :) Everytime i see a mustang with aftermarket lights it ALWAYS looks like crap...since when are stock lights not cool?
:stupid:
Just get yourself a holley electric pump for $100...it won't rob horsepower from you car, and it saves you the time of finding the right timing cover.
