Didn't you say that the tuner told you A/F ratio was fine? If so, the problem isn't fuel. If your pump wasn't keeping up, or the filter was clogged, you'd see it going lean at the higher RPMs. Since that's NOT happening, it's time to look elsewhere.
I can't believe you guys are still talking about this. How is it that Mustang enthusiasts don't understand that Mustangs AREN'T "sports cars"?
Just because magazines and TV shows compare the GT500 to a Corvette or Viper, it doesn't mean they're in the same market. Hell, in the last few years of...
Like it or not Reject 5.0 is probably correct. The "spot" repair is probably NOT the way to go. Chances are good that at the very least, the entire panel will peel since there wasn't proper adhesion for some reason. He's also correct about the better procedure for doing wet sanding. As for using...
Yes, my '03 has the problem, and yes the dealer told me they couldn't duplicate it. Okay, so what's the TSB number? This thread is too long to dig through for it.
That sounds EXACTLY like my trans issues. Very notchy feel, and grinds on the 1-2 shift. Worse when cold.
So maybe all I need to do is replace the fluid with non-synthetic ATF? Thank God I read this thread, this issue was really bothering me.
No "tuning" required there. Treat it much like you would a fuel injected engine. What would cause it to bog down? Not enough fuel? not enough airflow (meaning intake AND exhaust)? There's the first two things to look at. If both of those are known to be good, check out the float level and main...
Get out, really? I'd heard the 600's were real high to insure. A couple years after I had my 1100, I heard guys telling me they were paying more than me for their 600.
Drive both, unless you're biased one way or another, you'll like the GTO much better. It's just a more comfortable car to drive. If you're looking for "subjective" input, I like the Cobra's looks better but I like the way the GTO drives better. And as far as getting power out of an LS2, you...
Noticed that after my B&M shifter install. Definitely a little more tranny noise getting into the cabin now. I hadn't even thought of the noise being from the shifter until reading this. The one-piece aftermarket shifter probably DOES transmit more noise than the 2-piece OEM one.
The car IS big, and heavy. Probably the biggest single obstacle the car has between it and being a serious sports car but face it folks, the Mustang has never really been a road racer from the factory. Yeah, I know years ago, there were a good number of them that did rather well on road courses...
I would assume the GTO is a lot more money since you're comparing it to a '03-'04 Cobra, so right off the bat, the Cobra will be cheaper. Score one for the Cobra. The GTO is newer and probably has a warranty on it. Score one for the GTO. The GTO is better car in virtually every sense of the...
I usually like Top Gear but they DO have a problem with American cars. The stupid thing is they obviously like the American cars but find the need to try to bash them on the show. If you pay attention, you can see that a lot of what they say is directly contradicted by either what is shown in...
