    My best ET, what next?

Thanks Kooldawg. You've always been a big help to me on these forums and it is very much appreciated .:nice: I may be wrong but I think I read in Car & Driver that they turned a 13.5 or 13.6 in their test with a 2005 Mustang GT automatic. But the 2005s GT had better gears I think than the...

    My best ET, what next?

I took my new 2007 Mustang GT (automatic) out to the drag strip this past week with no prior drag racing experience (other than the street variety). I ran consistent 13.8s and 13.9s the first day and 13.9s and low 14.0s in the second outing. The track seemed kind of slippery at night and the...

Hey 2005+ owners, I am planning on drag racing my new GT this weekend and wanted to know what tire pressures I should go with. Anybody experimented with this before? I have 17 in wheels and stock Pirelli tires. Thanks in advance.

Adding Corsa exhaust, does this require a retune?

I am getting Corsa A/B exhaust installed on my 2007 Mustang GT tomorrow and it has already been Superchips retuned. Will I have to program it for the Corsa exhaust?

Technique for drag racing an auto with traction control

The salesman's point about 5,000 miles was it was better to break in the engine so that parts loosen up before taxing it.

Technique for drag racing an auto with traction control

Thanks for the inside tips. .:nice: I have heard that 3.73 gears are better for an auto though. I have had my car Superchips performance programmed. Drag radials should cut a couple tenths of second off 1/4 mile time from what I have read. Any reason why M&H are better than BF Goodrich or...

Technique for drag racing an auto with traction control

I have a new 2007 Mustang GT automatic, Shaker hood with traction control that I plan to drag race. Questions: 1) At what mileage should I wait to drag race it? A salesman told me after 5,000 miles. 2) Does anyone have experience using traction control in the 1/4? Is it good to use during...

Exhaust systems, best one to boost horsepower

Bingo! I just had mine Superchips retuned and it is amazing how much it makes a difference. The pre-tune seemed sluggish in comparison. And right now, I just have it tuned for 87 octane. I haven't experinced the premium gas tune yet.

Best Intake system for new GT

Sidebar: if you want to increase your 1/4 mile times, get rid of the 20 inch wheels and put 17 in or 18 in wheels on. I have read that 20 inch wheels slow a Mustang down a tenth or two a second due to "rotational inertia."

Top speed of a bone stock 2005-07 Mustang GT

Does anyone know what the top speed is for a bone stock 2005-07 Mustang GT if it wasn't electronically limited? I have seen 143 and 149 but these speeds are chip limited.

Exhaust systems, best one to boost horsepower

I want to know what the best exhaust system is to boost horsepower on a 2007 Mustang GT. I have read an article that exhaust systems don't really boost horsepower that much on the newer Mustang GTs. Here is an excerpt from the article: "Mclelland explained to us that modern engines...

Best CAI system to use with CDC Shaker Hood

I have a new 2007 Mustang GT with CDC Shaker Hood system. I want to know what the best CAI system to use with the Shaker. Specifically, ease of installation and boost in horsepower. I have read that K&N's CAI provides a 15 horsepower boost.
