    How much ground clearence is to little?

    My 66 has the shelby drop and heddman headers and I was shocked at how low it was so I took this pic. I dont know the measurments but thats pretty low in my book and do scrape on the speed bumps in my neighborhood if I dont hit them staggered.

    That just goes to show you how these issues are not cut and dry. My car has a 1" drop, agressive springs rolled fender and I had to change to 225's on mine. One side would clear and the other was no where even close and even bent the fender. I have 4.75" backspacing also.....:shrug:

    No they are as much as I hate to say it...Cheap seats. I dont think I paid more than $425.00 for both. I have not had anyone over 200 in the car but as wide as it is I would imagine that they would be fine for most folks. If I need to measure across the base and side bolsters let me know.

    I bought these off of ebay 4 years ago and have been very please. I have to release the seat back to get out so they hold me great and I am only 150Lbs. but I love the differents from the old seats and was able to find the same fabric material to cover my center console center.

    I also feel like the chrome wheels were a great look in the 70's & 80's but the polished alum. is hard to beat. Just get a mothers polish ball and hit them from time to time!
