    thinking about a supercharger

First of all, how crazy do you want to get? What are you planning on doing with the car? As long as the car is TUNED PROPERLY, these engines can handle nearly 500HP (425-450 being pretty safe). Detonation caused by poor tuning or insufficent fuel can kill an engine pretty quickly though. The...

    SCT Livewire

Well, I've had my Livewire for a couple of weeks now, so I figured that I'd post my impressions...... First of all, Brenspeed was great to deal with. I got everything sooner than expected, and their tunes are great (even though my car is completely stock). The 93 Octane tune didn't do much...

    Favorite mustang color?

I can't believe that no one has said Mystic yet.......I've always wanted a Mystic Cobra. But for the S-197s I like my Mineral Grey. I used to really hate the bright yellows and oranges, but on the SN95 and up, those colors have really grown on me. The two colors that I would never own...

    2005 Mustang GT erratic idle

First I would clean the MAF with either MAF cleaner or electronic parts cleaner (available at radio shack). Also clean the throttle body with carb cleaner and make sure that the blades aren't gummed up and sticking. Additionally, as skyhazard said, make sure that the intake tube fittings are...

    Big block swap

I'd probably look for a lightly wrecked car to start with...that would probably be the most cost effective solution. If the car would be a trailor queen track car another option would be a body in white. They start at around $3500, but alot must be added to make a complete car out of them...

    SCT Livewire

Anyone here using the SCT Livewire? If so, how do you like it? I've been researching this for quite some time, and decided to go ahead and get one and try it. Initially, I didn't think that they supported custom tunes, only canned tunes. ( the old information on SCTs website didn't say...

    E-Brake Rattle, How to Adjust?

I don't know where I found it. Someone posted it on one of the many Mustang sites that I frequent (probably this one). It has been a lifesaver for me. My only complaint is that you can't save the pages to your computer, and its kinda hard to navigate the way that its set up. I'd like to find a...

What type of gauges should I run??

Luckily, I got the MyColor gauge cluster that has water temp, oil pressure, and voltage....plus some other stuff from the info center. For a street car/weekend toy I've never been big on having lots-o-guages mounted everywhere and a huge monster tach on the dash. I'm not gonna' duplicate gauges...

What type of gauges should I run??

I'm looking into getting a PLX Devices 60mm OLED OBDII Multi-Gauge and trying to integrate it into the dash panel between the two center heat vents for a nice clean look. I'll also add a wideband AFR sensor module, and a Boost/Vacuum and Air Intake Temperature module whenever I get blown :D...

    Tranny Question

Actually, it's better to remove the FILL plug first. Lets it drain faster, and, more importantly, you know that you can fill the tranny back up BEFORE you drain it, and realize that the fill plug won't come out because some dumb ass buggered up the threads :D

    6.2L BOSS motor being released!

True, the Raptor isn't for everyone, even for people who are into offroading. It is a desert race style truck that is made for high speed driving over desert type terrains. It is not 4 wheel drive, and not suited for rock crawling, mud running, or even general trail riding. So, unless you live...

    New Parking Brake Cables

Well after the second time of having my parking brake freeze up on me, I decided to change the cables. I was parked on a pretty big incline at work the other day, and I made the mistake of using my parking brake. (might as well call it an emergency brake, since it is USELESS for parking in the...

    color of gauges at night

Yes, you need to install the buttons AND the mycolor guage cluster. You can install the buttons ahead of time, but the cluster will need to be installed after it is programmed by the dealer. Its very easy to do though. Removing/reinstalling the cluster is like a 5 minute job. Its not like...

    Did My First Oil Change

I don't have a owners manual for mine, so I just had them look it up at vaderzone when I was buying my oil. They (or their computer) said 6.5 quarts wih an oil change. I put in about 6.25 also. I have a hard time getting a good reading on this dipstick though. It seems as if there is always some...

    2008 ZO6 vs 2008 GT500KR

So, has anyone actually installed one of the new TVS supercharhgers? I'm very curious to see if they actually put down the numbers as advertized. I won't be able to afford one for another year or two, so that should be plenty of time to see if they perform like the manufacturers say they will...

    Did My First Oil Change

I have NO F'N IDEA....its driving me NUTS  I need to get this thing on a Dyno, get it tuned, and see if there's something robbing power. I have noticed that there is alot of brake dust on my back wheels, which is opposite from normal, since the front brakes usually do most of the...
