    I owned a stage 2 SRT4 before my Cobra...... Its definately competion for the 05 Mustang GT, infact it would most likely beat you from a role. Your best bet would be to race from a dig, because the SRT4 is tough to launch and get traction (which is your cars strongsuit)

    You may want to research the concept of forged internals and compression ratios before you attempt to turn your 05 GT into a "beast" for 4K. And if you can find a 05 deluxe GT for 23K, I will buy all you got at that price. One more thing........ before you respond to this post think...

    If you "want to be close to an SRT4" you had better buy the V8, cause even the v8 is gonna have trouble with lightly modded SRT4's since stock for stock its a drivers race to start with. The v6 05 HAS NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER against the SRT4

    If you can trust the Car & Driver test between the 05 GT Mustabg and the 05 GTO, the new goat won't be Cobra competition. 05 GTO vs Terminator: 13.3 verses 12.8 for the 1/4 and 19.6 to 130mph verses 16.0 Cobra wins

    Whats intresting to me is with the goat rated at 400 crank hp you would think it would give the Cobra a better run........ 19.6 to 130 is no competition at all for a Cobra

    I was just checking out the Car and Driver comparison test between the new GTO and the 05 GT (posted here in this forum). The 1/4 was only seperated by .5 seconds (13.3 vs 13.8) a very tight race Kudos to the stang. However at higher speeds the new Mustang listed 0-130 mph @ 25.6 verses...

    I would agree that the 05 GT is a MUCH nicer all around car compared to the SRT4. Looks, handling, build quality, etc......... Just watch out for them in a straight line from a roll because they can hurt feelings (I know from experience)
