    The only way it can come out, is if you snap the axle itself which is typically done by launching on sticky tires. Once the axle snaps, the c-clip can do nothing to keep the axle in..........you never see an axle come out due to 'c-clip failure'; it just isn't possible to move the axle inward...

    Any possibility that the pipes/hoses that run under the upper plenum of the intake for you heater core are leaking, pooling, then running down the back of the motor?

    If you are leaking oil from the back of your engine, 99% of the time it's going to be your rear main seal on the crank.

    Are you sure you properly adjusted your tv cable upon reinstallation? This is critical, and you can quickly wreck an AOD by driving around with one that is not adjusted right.
