Help me run 13's on Friday!!!

I ran a 14.1@99 on street tires with 3.73's. After throwing on the DR's it went down to 13.7@99, 60' dropped obviously. It's going to be all about your launch. You just have to work the clutch and throttle together to go as hard as you can w/o spinning too bad. Even with traction and the...

    charcoal canister installation

I removed my canister when I got rid of the smog pump. Just left the line from tank to vent in the fender well by the air filter with no problems or gas smells. What you're talking about is the purge control, the ecu will allow the trapped vapors to be burned at certain times. When the car...

    Motor Mounts/Tranny Mounts

I'm running just the poly tranny mount right now with stock motor mounts (haven't gotten to them yet) Haven't had any problems and that's even with using drag radials at the strip and a 1.9 60' time. It will be said that you'll break the bell housing just to let you know. Don't need to jack...

HOW DANGEROUS IS REMOVING THE BUMPER SUPPORTS?

I think you're totally wrong. The guy wants some good advice on a safety issue. All you can do is be sarcastic and make the stupidest post EVER. You're an idiot.

HOW DANGEROUS IS REMOVING THE BUMPER SUPPORTS?

It's just my garage. Those lights are mounted above the work bench, they were there when I bought the house. That compressor is pretty decent, it's oilless and very loud though.

    Lifespan of 5.0L engine?

160,00 on mine. Who knows how long a 5.0 would last, a long time if well maintained that's for sure. Simply an awsome engine IMO.

HOW DANGEROUS IS REMOVING THE BUMPER SUPPORTS?

I took my rear bumper and mounts off. Not sure about the hazards, It's probably more dangerous. Main thing is if you get rear ended hard it's going to cause alot more damage to the car. The mounts are like shock absorbers, The car itself will take the impact and will probably total it. Not to...

    Gear help

I just went from 2.73's to 3.73's not too long ago. Very good investment, here's a pic of inside the rear end, you can see the ring gear to left and the pinion gear low center back behind everything. Those are the gears you change out, pictured are 2.73's.

A stock clutch would work but I'm not sure it would last too long. I have the FRPP clutch and it works pretty well, very hard pedal though.

    Motor Mounts/Tranny Mounts

Also poly mounts will last alot longer and are impervious to oil and such which will break down a rubber mount and cause failure. You won't really notice much more vibration with the poly mounts, they are fine for a daily driver. When you get into solid mounts then you tend to get the vibration...
