    Exaust/Muffler Advice....

Ditto to what Darkspoon said, but I didn't remove all 3, I only had to remove the 2 closest to the joint. I tried to get the muffler off without removing the hangers and it wasn't happening. The whole process took me about 45 mins. I can see a person easily doing it in 30 minutes or less.

    Exaust/Muffler Advice....

I've never heard of anyone replacing the entire exhaust for a single muffler, you can probably accomplish what you're trying to do with one of the louder mufflers out there (For example the MRT turbine was selected by Scrming specifically because it was loud...

    Threads + Housekeeping

Personally I like having things that are related to the performance of the Mustang but not directly of a technical nature left here. I'd rather not have to read through a ton of "look at my cool paint job/wheels/dashboard thingamabob" threads to find stuff about performance in the main forum...

Got my car back...and she's one pissed off 6!

Does that mean you're putting down like 450 RWHP? Insane.

    Goal 210 RWHP

Well, I have just the JBA muffler on atm, so I could go get it dyno'd... how much should I pay for just a dyno test?

    Goal 210 RWHP

According to PHP, JBA headers and an axle-back muffler gave them 17 RWHP. Adding a retune, and air intake raised it up to 20 RWHP gain. Their V6 started at 170 RWHP and went up to 190. http://www.jbaheaders.com/articles/50Mustang_306.pdf Add a pulley and a higher octane tune and you'll...

    Trouble identifiying type of Mustang

I don't believe leather is an option on the deluxe. Check out http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/?v=html and do 'build & price your ford' According to the website, it's not an option on the '07 deluxe.

    Jolt

Do you mean jolt when you step on the gas? With an automatic mine sometimes does this if I catch it 'inbetween' gears.

    Trouble identifiying type of Mustang

If it had leather or 17" bullet wheels, it would be a Premium for sure. With a shaker 500 and the power driver's seat it's probably a Premium.

    Trouble identifiying type of Mustang

If it's new, do like Stan said and check the sticker. Or, you can go on Ford's website and check to see what options are available for each level. I don't think they sell the standard anymore... so if you have just the single cd radio for example, it's probably a Deluxe. (Premium comes with...

Cold start problems with a tune...

How could the battery cause the engine to stall after starting? After it turns over, the battery doesn't have anything to do with it anymore and it sounds like it was turning over fine.

    Mustang= Good handling???

From what I understand the S197 is much stiffer than the older Fox platform. Add to that the improvements from the Pony Package and I'm not too surprised at your results. I too would be interested to hear what kind of improvements people recommend for better handling (without making the car...

    ANy suggestions for a muffler?

Yes, it is just that easy. I replaced mine with a JBA axle-back a couple weekends ago. I did have to remove the front two brackets before I could get the muffler off the pipe though. The whole install took about 45 minutes. Would have been 30 if I'd known how to go about it. I also jacked...

    Please Post Your Gas Mileage

I originally posted here http://forums.stangnet.com/showpost.php?p=6700640&postcount=141 A week or so ago, I installed a JBA cat-back on the V6 and was curious if the 'freer flowing' muffler would increase my MPG. I ran the same loop as described in my previous post and actually noticed...

Questions on getting a Used 06 Mustang 'vert

TSBs are listed in a sticky post at the top of the forum. Most of the major issues were worked out in the '05 model, so your '06 should be pretty clean, especially if it was produced later in the year. With 22k miles on it, it might be an early '06, so that's something to consider. Best of...

    Cleaning the inside rear glass

I use the Glass Wizard from the As Seen on TV store. It comes with two microfiber bonnets and they work much better on glass than my car cleaning microfiber towels. It also has a pointed tip for getting into the corners. Well worth the ~$10.

Cold start problems with a tune...

It's possible it could be due to your engine oil being too thick when it's cold. 10/30 could give you that problem. When you say cold, how cold are we talking? Also, have you run through a couple tanks on the 91 tune before switching back? The first couple tanks could have a fair amount...

    2006 California Special Edition Mustang

If anyone is interested, a video of the commercial for the Southern California Special can be found at http://jupiter.esp400.com/files/greg/mustang/mustang_commercial_hq_small.wmv. The commercial has a CS gas cap, not the SCS cap that is actually on the car. I saw the commerical twice on TV...

Have you been running 91 octane gas all the time when doing the switching from stock to the 91 tune and back? Just curious.
