going for lower gears 3.23 down to 2.73

I would start by giving the car an entire tune up. Plugs, wires, clean maf, iac, etc...Also change all your fluids over to synthetic, they will help with your rolling resistance. Also a drop in K&N and some underdrive pulleys will help. Tire pressure can also help, up it to 35 psi cold instead...

My times at the track suck.. I need help

They mean take off at a higher rpm, but don't let the clutch all the way out. Ride the clutch about the first 15-20 feet before letting it all the way out. It is real tricky to get it right, I prefer to just drop it at 2k and feather it as traction allows. But with my method the best 60' I ever...

My times at the track suck.. I need help

When do you shift? You should shift at 5300-5500, a mostly stock 4.6l falls on its face after that. BTW at the 1/8 mile track I go to at 740' a bone stock 99-04 5 speed runs 9.3s at about 79-80. I sure a dyno tune would help a lot, I didn't see one in your sig. Also are you still running the...

    Fuel Pump Upgrade and Questions

I have the Walbro 255 lph high pressure pump (gss340) I also have -8an feed line all the way to the fuel rail. You don't want to know why i did this but I've been told since I installed a bigger feed line it should support 500+rwhp. I may never find out, but I know I won't be running out of...

Anyone running a return style fuel system?

You can check the resistance of the coils, but thats about it. If you only had 34 psi with the vacuum off then its low. When you crack the throttle does the pressure drop off? It shouldn't, especially when no load is present. Replace the filter and check it again. It could also be the regulator...

Anyone running a return style fuel system?

Yes your fuel pressure is low. I could be the pump or the regulator. While running, pull the vacuum line off the regulator and see what it goes up to. It should be close to 50 with the vacuum unhooked and 35-45 with it attached. I have mine set at 40 with vacuum. It may also be the filter, which...

    rocker arms and valve springs

They are probably just worn out and can use a good rebuild with a valve job and port.

Should I get aligned NOW or LATER

Just get the alignment, some people don't need the cc plates and some do. I don't have them but when I put the 275s on the front I started to feel the bump steer, which I corrected. The alignment will tell you how far off you are.

I agree with this dude 100%. Change the fuild and add the Royal Purple. The side of the bottle says it already contains the friction modifier, and yes it could be causing the whine.

Need help quick; belt tensioner issue

Take those nuts off and it should come off. Oh, I see there is no slot for a ratchet to take the belt off. Hmm... try using something else, or maybe a friend can help to spring the tentioner. The hole looks threaded, maybe thread a bolt into it and use a coresponding socket to spring it.

I recently read the side of a Royal Purple bottle of gear lube and it says it has friction modifier already. Would it screw it up to add more?
