A pms and tweecer r/t price question

So you're saying i can just find an olderlaptop as long as it has a usb port? That would make it easier, lol. Yeah, I had planned on getting a wideband, cause i live in the boonies and hate other people messing with my car, lol. I really wanted to get the tweecer r/t cause i went to...

A pms and tweecer r/t price question

Ok, i've been reading about both, and still wasn't decided until i found an '04 model pms w/ 3 bar map sensor that i can probably get for around $650 or so. And with the map sensor it will make it nice when im boosted down the road. So my question is, how much is the going rate for a used...

    Cervinis heat-extractor hood

Well I guess they are just a little similar then, lol.As for the vents they open in the gap between the front of the engine and the radiator, so no worry about dumping gallons of water on top of your intake, lol. See ya, Will

    Cervinis heat-extractor hood

I have the kaenan version of that hood, which i think is exactly the same. I haven't taken any pics yet but I think It looks good on an otherwise stock looking car. The next time I'm around the car w/ my camera I'll snap some pics. Good luck on your decision, Will

Gauge pod in mach460 cd player location?

I didn't know there was such a thing as engraving plastic. I might have to go out and looks for that and those skins. It sure does look like aluminum. If you don't mind me asking, about how much does that run? Thanks, Will

Gauge pod in mach460 cd player location?

5.0 Gt Kid, thanks for showing me that. That's just about what I plan on making, and it won't cost me $50 either :nice: But any pic's give me an idea of what to do. Nmcgraw, I like how that looks w/ the hvac controls down low. When you moved the controls down, how do you mount it? I...

Gauge pod in mach460 cd player location?

Alanw6- That looks great. That's about what I was thinking of making, except w/o the switches. What did you use to make it? I've used aluminum sheet metal before b.c its very easy to work w/ and bend to the shape I want. Nmcgraw- I hadn't thought about doing it that way. It probably...

Gauge pod in mach460 cd player location?

Ok, I just found that florida 5.0 has them, but they are waaaayyy overpriced. I think I'll make my own pod out of sheet aluminum like I've done before. To anyone who has this cluster, how does it mount in that location? It looks like there are holes in the corners for screws? Thanks, Will

Gauge pod in mach460 cd player location?

I just replaced my mach 460 w/ an aftermarket cd player, and now I have a hole in my dash where the 460 cd player was. Does anyone make an aftermarket gauge pod that fits in this location? Or has anyone modified another pod to fit there? I know they make clock pods and such, but I think a pod...

Tubular Front end w/ coil-overs, streetable?

Yeah, I can imagine a full griggs setup would set me back quite a bit. I think im gonna pick up the aje piece as I can get that local, and its a pretty decent price. Silverstangman, what type of k-member are you running w/ your coilovers? Thanks for all the help, Will

Tubular Front end w/ coil-overs, streetable?

It would be nice to have that range of adjustability, plus have the front end nice and clean/simple. How would I decide what spring to go with? Also, the coil-overs don't use the same type of coil spring as original do they, so I'm gonna have trouble getting just two lowering springs for the...

Tubular Front end w/ coil-overs, streetable?

I guess I didn't realize there was that much of a difference in the components of the pa vs. the mm. From the prices i've found the pa piece is about 320, and the mm was like 600 and something, but maybe the mm piece comes w/ extra things? It's been awhile since i've looked, so maybe the...

Tubular Front end w/ coil-overs, streetable?

I've noticed some of you have a tubular front end, control arms, and coil overs and I was wondering how it is on the street. Has anyone had any problems w/ the welds or tubing cracking/breaking? How is the ride w/ coilovers compared to spring/strut? I've been looking at the aje racing pieces...

    Collapsed lifter after new heads/springs

Thanks for the offer t-moss, but its away for the winter. Since a couple have gone though, I expect the rest to not be far behind so when i do it, im going to do them all. I just wondered if there were any that are better than the stockers. The offer is much appreciated though! This is why...

    Collapsed lifter after new heads/springs

It only has about 37,800 miles right now, but I guess they must've gotten weakened with age. If stocker's will work, I'll get them though. Thanks, Will

    Collapsed lifter after new heads/springs

Well, I shoulda know better. After putting my trickflow heads/roller rockers on, I now get a clatter out of #8 once the engine warms up. I know the rockers aren't loose, so a lifter must be crapping out. Anyone had this problem? Also, what is a good replacement to get that can take the...

    Fitting aftermarket hood

Well, I lined the hood up w/o the latch, and bolted it down. The latch was was a little off, but way to low to even engage the hood. I ended up just moving the latch up enough to catch. It should work anyhow. Thanks for the help, Will

    Fitting aftermarket hood

That's awesome. Yeah, its shifting when i go to push down for the second latch, and thats when it goes outta line. I'll try getting it bolted solid and straight, and then maybe it'll latch. I should get to do it tomorrow, so i'll wait and see. Thanks for the replies, i'll post how it goes...

    Fitting aftermarket hood

Thats just the thing I was looking for. I have good front/rear adj. I just need side to side. Should I adjust the fenders first or elongate the holes and slide the hood? Im thinking hood first, but then I'll have to move the latch. I dunno:shrug: Also, do you still have your rubber bump...
