Trans Slip Yoke the same for T5 and T5Z?

Hanlon motorsports or D & D motorsports... Both are listed in Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords... They are kinda steep, but, some things you gotta do what you gotta do... Jim

Should I swap my t5 out while the engine's out? Or just see if it lasts?

You could have your t-5 rebuilt to t-5z specs for under $500.00 and be just fine. When I rebuilt my t-5 I added the cobra tapered bearing/alloy lower gear set and had more tranny than my basically stock 302 could handle. Do some research on the cobra input shaft tapered bearing...can be done...

Trans Slip Yoke the same for T5 and T5Z?

I think the difference is the v6 t5....v8 t5/t5z have the same output shaft spec's....v6 is a weak pos...

    Disc Brakes conversion

There's no need to reinforce the brackets that come with the '08 GT kit you mention..very beefy. The kit is a very simple bolt on, just need a few brake fittings to adapt the soft lines to your hard lines. check www.mustangsteve.com or www.ultrastang.com for various ideas of brake...

    Here's a close-up of my fronts and rears.....I've got a 2mb pic of the whole car...not smart enough to know how to resize..... Fronts are - Mustang Steve '08 conversion w/ 17x8 Torque Thrust "M"/ "0" offset/ 225/45/17 tires Rears are - 2000 Crown-Vic w/ 17x8 Torque Thrust "M"/ "0" offset/...

With all the crap old man Shelby is pulling, I have difficulty buying anything with "Shelby" stamped/cast into it. What a black eye he is causing...:nonono:

    MustangSteve 2008 GT brake swap.

If you car was a drum brake car it most likely has the wheel studs with the extra shoulder on them, make sure your spacers have a large enough hole to allow the shoulder to fit inside them. otherwise, you should be fine. jim

    MustangSteve 2008 GT brake swap.

I have them installed on my '65 fastback...car is not running, engine in the shop getting machined. Install was VERY straight forward, no surprises. Very detailed instructions as well.. The issues arise when it comes to putting wheel studs in. Get them for a '68 with disc brakes..depending on...

New Rims touching the upper A-arm.. what should I do?

That may be the number...I went through so many different back spacing options, I forget exactly what I ended up with. I do know for sure that the offset is at "0".. Jim

New Rims touching the upper A-arm.. what should I do?

I just put 17x8 Torque thrust "M" w/ "0" offset (or 4" b.s.) on all four corners. Rear tires are 245/45, fronts are 225/45. Lock to lock on front, I have no problems. I went with Mustang Steve '08 GT front disc conversion as well. I think 4.75 b.s. would push my wheels in too far, front and...

    replacing brake lines

I have the Mustang Steve '08 front kit w/ Crown-Vic rears. I'm using original pre-bent where possible. For the connections to the new stuff, I'm adapting with off the shelf parts that are available. I would like to find a flex hose for the fronts that wouldn't require more connections...

    A Hitch For a 70 Mustang?

Well...actually, I'm in northeast Oklahoma. My employer is most likely one of those rig manufacturers you speak of. We have an assembly facility at the Greensport yard. We have almost 200 land rigs in our fleet in operation scattered all over the world. We have less than a dozen off-shore rigs...

    A Hitch For a 70 Mustang?

Cool!! Thanks! Just a bad day at the office I guess....found out that a customer that ordered 7 drilling rigs actually wants them.... how crazy is that? They only cost ~15 million US dollars...what is wrong with people...:nonono: I guess I should take myself to Hooters and get me...
