    Depends. You may need to replace the springs if the cam is too aggressive or the springs are already junk. Also you may need new pushrods(the above cams should use stock length).

    1500$ for a complete shortblock? That includes pistons,rods,crank,rings,bearings and balancer-flywheel/flexplate? If so it's not a terrible price if quality parts were used. Fresh machined block alone usually brings about a 500$ price tag around here. As far as your budget...you need a bigger...

    Yeah I ran an old car of mine (00 Camaro SS) up to 140+ once on a back road. I then thought the same thing you did. Haven't done it again. Track only for me from now on. Way too many variables on a highway/road etc

    I'll take a guess...317rwhp and 363 rwtq because I like round numbers lol. I'd love to get a ride in one of these pd blown cars. I've been in a t trim car and a 76mm turbo (both had built motors 331-347's). I agree on the gears also fwiw

    If it were a street car I'd be more skeptical about that location. Worried about heat soak from the exhaust etc but for what you're doing...why not?
