Newbie, new Mustang (and Ford in general) convert

Awesome, Man!!!!! As already stated...you like the sound and power of the stock GT...step into the aftermarket world and you'll have a mean sounding 12 sec ride in not time!!!!! Pretty great that a Mustang is that capable nowadays! I also give a big nod to the Dark Blue ('05-Sonic Blue, '06-08...

    Wheel Quality at Cruzin Concepts

The 285/40 on the 9" wheel will be fine. The sidewall will bulge a bit, but nothing that will be unsafe:nice: I've seen people run 275 DRs on the 8" wheel aired down with no problems at the track. That has a lot of bulge and up over 100 mph with less than 18 psi!

    Hood pins

Thanks! I liked the way it looked as well, but I had the stripe/color concept in mind for a couple of years. I was going to go with the Steeda hood/Roush fascia route for a meaner look, but a buddy mentioned the GT500 route and I believe that turned out better. I still have the wheels/tires as...

    Hood pins

I had the same pins as five oh brian with my stock hood, but I placed them near the outside edges. The brackets that come with them have you mount them on the upper radiator support. For me, that was too close together. I know emay and heavygt have thiers out near the sides as well. The thing...

going from 87-91 octane once tune is installed???

Go ahead and fill up with 91. Run it down and fill back up with 91 before the tune and you should be fine. Running 91 in your car now won't hurt anything. It will just waste a marginal amount as it can't combust it all.

    Lightweight Driveshaft Recommendations?

I only have personal knowledge of some budies running the Spydershaft and none of them have ever had any problems. The driveshaft swap isn't too difficult. I haven't done one on mine yet. About the gear swap...unless you have the proper tools and knowledge using them, I'd pay the $500 (parts &...

Question about dynocharts & shift gears

Cars are normally in 3rd gear for a dyno pull. They usually start the pull at around 35 MPH and go until redline. 3rd gear is a good gear due to it can pull good from 35 all the way up to and over 100 depending on mods. I'm not real familiar with all the different auto trannies, but the newer...

    Painted my brake calipers

Near the end of high school I had long hair. Shortly after graduating (early '90s), it turned into the mullet:nonono: A few years later, I cut it all short:( I started letting it grow about 4 years ago and now I just trim about twice a year! I'll never sport a mullet again!!!!! :rlaugh: The...

Two years ago, when I took out almost 170 lbs from the car, I dropped my times by .25 sec!!!!! I know it's accurate as I got to the track and removed all of the "stuff" after making a few passes "fully loaded":nice: Ran some 13.3s before I took out: spare/jack oem trunk liner/mat shaker...
