    Engne cleaning question

Try Purple Power from Wal Mart or the auto parts stores. Works better for me that the degreasers. You can help it along with good brushing, stiff round brush or cut down a paint brush. Can hit it several times, spray it, let it soak, brush, repeat. Garden hose pressure works, pressure washer...

Was she warmed up real well for the second test. A cool car will sometimes report high. What you changed should not have had a negative effect, There is a possibility that you created another problem by fixing the first. Could you have pulled off or caused a crack in another vaccume line or...

    TFI

Helps if you buy the "special" tool, a thin wall socket that fits in the TFI. May not be able to get it with a regular soxket. Tool is about 6 bucks at most stores. May have to turn the distributor to gain access but do not have to remove it. If you dont have a timing light mark the dizzy...

The SINGLE dumbest thing I've done while in the Garage

Cranking a 5.0 Fuel injected engine over with the throttle body removed wasn't a good idea. Was cleaning the TB and intake and for some reason thought the car would just crank like a car with no carb. However FI cars still get plenty of gas from the injectors and no TB equals Wide Open:jaw...

Should not have any trouble. I have had my 88 since new and have driven cross country several times. The only thing I can think of to watch for on car that sits a lot is the tires. They can get old and still look like new, Double check for dry rot.:flag:

How to Fix a Leaning Seat?

Plus 1 for repair. If your covers are good the seats are not that hard to take apart. Once you find the broken welds or cracked seat frame you can usually weld them back up and even add some reinforcement. If you don't/can't weld, a lot of times a muffler shop on a slow day will hook you up...
