    Help A Girl Out!

If there is a leak somewhere in the intake tube, that needs to be addressed first. There should be no holes or leaks anywhere. If that is all fine, I'd say it's the IAC (idle air control) valve. They commonly go out, and the symptoms are pretty much that the car won't idle unless you have...

99-04 Front Left Seatbelt In A 98 Gt?

I'll have access to 3 99-04 Mustangs later this evening. I'll take a look at them and let you know what I find.

    After Market Muffler Sound

They don't drone bad at all with a Prochamber. I'll agree with an H or X, though.

    Coolant In Spark Plug Wells?

PI intake will bolt up. Just have to use a little RTV on the water jacket ports. As COramprat mentioned, there should be plenty of threads around about this. It's definitely something you can do yourself. It was the very first thing I ever did to my car. If you didn't want to buy one new...

I Bough The Headers, Now I'm Putting The Things On.

Man, doesn't sound like fun. I seriously doubt I'll ever consider changing headers out on a 4.6 unless I have a 2-post lift. It's just such a pain.

    After Market Muffler Sound

SLP LM1s are the loudest that I'm aware of. Coincidentally, they also sound just like ass cheeks slapping together, and I normally turn away in disgust and shame when I hear a Mustang with them.

What Do You Hate The Most About Your Mustang?

And that's the reason I've stopped spending money on mine. I've spent less than $500 on mine in the last 2 years (gears and ported blower). There are so many things I could do (smaller pulley, fuel system, rods/pistons, converter, built tranny, etc.) that I'd love to do, mainly just to prove a...

    Gt Brake Issue

When you say not moving, do you mean it is completely frozen in place? As in, even if you removed it from the car, you couldn't press it in or blow it out at all? Or is the fluid just not compressing the piston to apply braking force? If it is the latter, have you bled the master cylinder...

    I Finally Bought Headers.

If you had access to a lift, why not just unbolt the K-member from the body, and raise the body up off the motor/tranny/k-member? Then everything is right there in front of you and easy to work on. That's how I thought was the easiest way to do it.

    Best Remote Tuner?

I'd agree that you can get the tune pretty close via remote tuning, but it will take WAY more time and effort than it would if the tuner was able to sit in the car himself. Think about it: you have to get the tune from tuner, load it up, go datalog (might take a while when you consider job...

Winter Build - Short Block Opinions And Experiences Appreciated

Unless you want a REALLY REALLY fast, ridiculous car (doesn't sound like you do), a completely built shortblock isn't necessary. A lot of people don't realize how fast a 500 rwhp or 600 rwhp car is, and it's not until after that level that you really start spending a lot of money. 500-600 can...

400rwhp And 410 Gears, Can Anyone Hook Up On Street Tires?

Assuming a 17 inch wheel size, 315/35-17s are 25.68 inches in diameter. 4.10s and a 1:1 3rd gear will get you 121 mph at 6500 rpm. I don't know this for sure, but I doubt you'll need to spin it any farther than that for optimal torque on the wheels with the stock PI cams. With my stock PI...

Winter Build - Short Block Opinions And Experiences Appreciated

As for the engine, if you really want cheap, find a set of used 03/04 Cobra rods and pistons to swap in. Your stock crank, block, and stock replacement hardware will be fine.

Best Place To Buy A Pi Engine?

I'd grab one from a junkyard. www.car-part.com 01+ Ford Crown Vics, Mercury Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Cars, F150s, Explorers, etc. all have the same motor. There's a few small external things like exhaust manifolds and the timing cover that need to be switched over from your current motor...

400rwhp And 410 Gears, Can Anyone Hook Up On Street Tires?

I hear people telling me all the time that XXX drag radial will not hook up at the track. 9 times out of 10, it's because either they don't know how to drive, or they didn't get them warm enough. Some require a lot of heat, some don't require much at all. Mickey Thompsons or Hoosiers don't...

400rwhp And 410 Gears, Can Anyone Hook Up On Street Tires?

Drag radials are decent, as would be bias ply slicks. But neither are going to stick like they should until you get some heat into them (i.e do a burnout).

Would Advancing Stock Cams Give Me More Power?

Not even close. I think they are +/- 5 degrees from the factory. Pretty much completely silent. You can hear a bit of a whistle with the hood open, but nothing while driving.
