    New MII came home today

I do have various photos of the convertible process but they are too big to post on this site. If you give me your email address, I can send them that way. Overall, I would not recommend doing this unless you are a) really desparate to see the sun (as I was) or b) very good at...

    Lowering the back

On my Ghia convertible, I simply redrilled the new holes on the rear shackles approx. 1 inch above the stock holes where the leaf springs mount to them. I haven't noticed any difference in ride harshness as a result.

    Would this fit a 302?

Just wondering, does a 351W intake fit a 289/302? I know the 351 has a higher deck, but could the intake be machined on each side? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36474&item=2474548198&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

    Door panel question

Looking at it, I think you're right. I've got a junk set so I think I'll try stripping off the woodgrain to see how it works. Thanks.

    Door panel question

Does anyone know how to remove the aluminum trim from Cobra interior door panels. I want to swap the aluminum panels onto some other panels that have the woodgrain panels.

    Coil spring compressor

Take the 67 Fastback body assembly off the Mustang II crossmember and install the proper Mustang II body for starters... :D But seriously, you should not need a spring compressor. Here's how I'be done it in the past: rather than messing with the ball joints, you can also just unbolt the...

    V8 Motormount

Well, I guess I'll be the guinea pig and fork over the $$$ for a mount from Ford. I'll let everyone know if it works. Thanks for the help.

    V8 Motormount

Can you use a "right" on the "left" if you cut off the welded nut and turn it around?

    V8 Motormount

Is this the right one? I thought these were not available anymore. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34204&item=2472604717&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V

    Iacoca's opinion in Mustang Monthly

In the interview, he hints at having tried to influence the styling by going to the studio and messing with the clays, but was repeatedly told to "get out of the kitchen" by the designers. I think he had something else in mind for his "Little Jewel" in terms of the roofline. He also seemed to...

    Iacoca's opinion in Mustang Monthly

Even Lee, himself, is into II bashing-- in this month's Mustang Monthly interview, he confirmed that he was the person who insisted the "II" designation be added to the name because he felt the car didn't deserve the regular "Mustang" name. :( As some consolation, he feels the 71-73 cars...

    Crankshaft ID Question

Thanks guys. The crank is in a remanufactured short block that I purchased a few years ago from Indy Mustang Performance. I had less than 15K miles on it when the rear main started leaking and oil pressure got bad. I finally gave in and yanked the motor and found that all of the rod and main...

    Crankshaft ID Question

Thanks Dano78. I'm pretty sure I have the right 28oz crank- although the only markings on it are a "2M" on one weight and a "23" and "24" on another. I'll look more closely tomorrow for that date code.

    Crankshaft ID Question

Anyone viewing this right now know what the casting numbers are for a 28 oz 302 crankshaft vs. the later 50 oz version. I've got my motor apart and need to make sure I have a 28 oz crank before sending it off to be ground.

    Crankshaft Balance Question

Can anyone tell me how to identify whether my 302 crank is an older, 28 oz balance or newer 50 oz balance? What are the casting nos for the 28 oz crank?

    BIG problem/legal advice

I'm an attorney in Wisconsin, so I can't really help you with PA law, but I would also have your PA attorney look at potential liability on the part of the notary. I would expect he has errors and ommissions coverage for just this type of mistake. Good luck.

    Dream Wheel

PerceII is right, but it would be worth redrilling axles and rotors or using adapters just to have that kind of wheel on a II. Wheel Vintiques does make a similar wheel with a 4.25 inch bolt pattern in 15" for about 8-9 large bills. I picked these up on ebay. They also are 4.5 inch bolt...
