    Shifting the manual for better fuel econ

    I like to shift into fifth at or after 40 mph. If its near 40-50, I'll watch the miles per gallon go up a tenth at a time. Once it reaches 19.5-20.0, I get to mash the throttle at will. Its like saving up for a turbo on a video game. A fun little game I like to play.

    This is true. I live in Wa state and we have one of the highest gas prices in the nation- and we get our gas from Alaska! Honestly, gas was never the same for us after Hurricane Katrina.

    Yes but there is still alot of oil in the ground. Most people think there isnt. Not to mention they just found probably the 3rd largest oil reserve in the world in Brazil this month.

    That is what I want and mine doesnt have it.If we could figure out a way, would you want to trade? I also want to get that shifter knob somehow- I was going to look on ebay. THat and the pedals is really the only reason to get the premier trim package?

    Low dealer wholesale is 24,500 in my area. So it wasnt too bad. Also, Im done looking and that is the biggest relief as mentioned earlier.

    The plan for the car is some foose nitrous wheels. 1/4 window covers and some type of ducktail spoiler. But that stuff wont happen all at once.

    Thanks. I'm pretty excited cause I found one with the options I wanted. I was tired of looking every day in cities everywhere and every autotrader.com, ebay and craigslist posting. I think the car looks more sleek without the hood scoop. That was hard to get rid of.
