    Anyone have 3.90's in their dohc cobra?

    I have 4:10's but with 27.1" OD 255/50R17 tires on the rear that actually makes it a 3.89. Did that on purpose as I really wanted the 3.89 but hard to find. I get 24 mpg at 70mph 2500 RPM.     Have lowered with H&R springs and bushing kit. What next for modest investment for road course events. Will put upgrade rotors on with HP hawk pads later. Any suggestions there is appreciated. Thinking Steeda or Kenny Brown full length subframe with tower brace for now. Suggestions?

    New size tires for my '01 Cobra? Need opinions.

    I put 275/40 on the stock 8 inch rims on the front and 255/50R17 on the rear which are 1.4 inches taller than the 275's with 1 inch spacers and lowered 1.5 inches. This puts gives the car that ol muscle car rake and fills the wheel wells.

    I have put K&N, mass air meter, underdrive pulleys, X pipes, aft cat systems etc on mine but all those $$$'s added together do not add up to what the 4:10 gears did. It is big dollar labor (gears are cheap) but the gears are still the best deal.

    I have Bassani x catted and and no cat H with 2 chamber f/m which never rreally like. went with basic glasspacks which look in construction like the Borla and like them much better. There is Company in Charlotte called something like Werx Automotive that had Cobra 01 Borla for $550.

    Rear Gear I go along also with Gunter in L'nville just off hwy 20 & Hurricane Shoals. I drive 100 miles from SC to have him do my work. Put 4.10 in IRS Cobra is pretty big chore. Works great.
