WELL, FRONT END CREAKING ISNT BALL JOINTS OR TIE RODS!!

That sounds like what my stang does... I just said f-it and have lived with the front end creaking sounds. I can sit in my driveway and quickly turn the wheels and hear creaking. I am positive that it is coming from the steering rack. Whenever I am working on the car and it is up on jack...

    Transmission Cooler Install

I think Hayden PN: T 394 should have the correct fittings... I made a custon trans cooler bracket by cutting and welding several pieces of backstrap material. It keeps the cooler from rubbing against the AC condencer and keeps it from moving/vibrating much. Good luck let us know if you...

    Transmission Cooler Install

"It is all about the fittings." The correct fittings will allow you to easily get access to the trans fluid (coming out of the radiator) without cutting your stock lines.

    Transmission Cooler Install

This is not a good idea!!! Why would you bypass the radiator transmission cooler all together? On my O2 4r70w the return line (to the trans) is the top radiator line. I will go and snap some pics.

    4.6L Fuel Pressure Questions

You can use the predator but don't use the predator performance tune. The predator perfornance tune advances the timing and leans out your a/f (especially at rpms lower than 4000). I would recommend using the "factory HP tune"... Then you can add +5 WOT fuel and retard the timing some...

    Installed MAC O/R H-pipe

I installed a MAC o/r H pipe last week and i must say that it was fun. It is loud as hell with magnaflows (not magna packs), I have had several complaints in a week (also had compliments). I have read that there is almost no inchease in HP and more likley a drop in TQ but the car...

    4.6L Fuel Pressure Questions

Yea if it engages 2 out of 4 times then you are probably right on the border line. That is good because at least you know where you are at. I would probably try it several more times without readjusting the FPSS, if it continues to work intermitently then lower the FPSS set point a little...

    4.6L Fuel Pressure Questions

Is 37psi the pressure at which the switch opens? Did you set it with air pressure? Remember there is a slight difference in the opening and closing pressures. When the fuel solenoid first opens it will cause a brief & slight drop in fuel pressure, as the computer sences the drop in FP it...

    4.6L Fuel Pressure Questions

The computer uses the fuel pressure sensor to determine what duty cycle to set the PWM (pulse width modulation) output at. Unplugging the vacuum line will cause the fuel pressure to always be 39psi referenced to atmosphere. The delta pressure across the fuel injector will be higher at idle...

    Nitrous Guys... Come On In

Nitrous is actually very simple. There are several rules that if broken = broken car. Don't go lean keep it 11-12 a/f Don't run any more timing than stock (1-2 deg retard per 50hp would not hurt) No detonation allowed (1 or 2 step cooler spark plugs recommended, copper always) There are...

    4.6L Fuel Pressure Questions

Also, I have a FPSS (fuel pressure safety switch) on my car. It can be adjusted, mine opens (open circuit = no N2O) up around 32 psi. I used air pressure to test it. It should have been set from NOS at approx 35psi ?????

    4.6L Fuel Pressure Questions

Wrong... (They use vacuum but not in the same way 98 & previous cars did.) I have posted this info before but here goes. 99+ mustangs use the computer as the fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pressure sensor is referenced to manifold absolute vacuum. In other words you are always maintaining...

    Nitrous Guys... Come On In

I have been running awsf-22c plugs for two years without a problem N/A. So I am using awsfa-12c with my wt kit. FYI for a basic NX wet kit you are better off using the stock tune and dumping the JET module. Wet kits inject the correct amount of N2O and fuel so your a/f should not go lean...

    Mustang Stall Speed

Oh No Math... Lets see if I can put a little math to work... K = rpm / sqrt of torque TCCOA states that 96+ mustang TCs the K factor = 155 Assume that torque is 200 lb/ft at low rpms solve for rpm rpm = K * sqrt of torque rpm = 155 * (200^1/2) rpm = 2192 So how about that I...

    Mustang Stall Speed

I just went to TCCOA and checked just to make sure. Yes stall speed increases with torque and "K" = rpm/sqrt of torque FYI.........
  19. Y

    Mustang Stall Speed

How do you know? FYI TCs are rated using "K" factor not rpms because the stall speed is determined by the K factor and the amount of torque your engine produces. The more torque you engine produces the higher the stall spees is going to be.

    Mustang Stall Speed

I could be wrong but the stock 99+ 4r70w TC stall speed is 2500-2600rpm. I think I remember reading it somewhere. When I flash stall my stock converter the rpms immediatly jump up to 2500. Also I am in the process of installing a NX kit on my stang... I would not want a higher stall speed...
