According to Steeda in a recent mustang monthly they dont recommend going past 425hp. Anything more than 425 and your just waiting to buy a new motor.(page26 dec 2005 issue-"weak wont survive" side article.)
:shrug: Sure answered my questions on tire size and the impact on the car when I was out looking - I did some comparisons on that site then asked the techs at the ford dealer....
mines set at 6549, 100 rpms higher than stock setting...turned out to be Just enough to avoid the engine cut out when I get on it.. I was usually too slow to react and recognize I had hit red line on the rpm gauge in 2nd and 3rd

IMO - Ford should have put more HP into the 05...I can only guess that because there isnt any camero or trans am out there right now being produced- they didnt feel the heat of the competition to compete with. The 05GT should have come out with a super...
I think the site takes the times from initial reviews from magazines or advertised times from manufacturers. The 05 stang is a bit faster than quoted on this site too...
So what is the 1/4 time for and unmodded 91gt?
rumor has it that for the 05 mustang about 13% loss on manual an 18% on the auto.
Usually I see people use around 15%+/- for a manual and up to 23% for automatic..here is a good article on HP and torque

No shake on my hood been up to 120. Its has to be dropped closed from about 8 inches up too.. so its sitting pretty solid on the rubber bump stops. built feb 8th
